Apart from the obvious Smash Bros., I also bought DK: King of Swing on Wii U Virtual console today, one of my favorite, really underrated GBA games.

Yes! Such a great game. Did you enjoy Jungle Climber on the DS, insanolord?

Just bought MGSV Ground Zeroes at Target ($15). Not sure if I'll keep it. I think I'm about to buy a bunch of Xbone games from the Microsoft store though, they're having a sweet Black Friday sale.

The Walking Dead: Season One and Two for Xbone. $25 for both games (Games with Gold, using a 7-day free trial), that's a hell of a deal. I'm almost tempted to buy Titanfall for $10, but it's MP only and I usually don't have Gold (anymore), so really it's $10 + whatever you pay for XBL Gold each year.

aaaaaannnnd I just bought 5 more games.

Watch_Dogs (PS4) - $29.99 (yes, could have gotten it for $25 in some places, but meh)
Alien Isolation (PS4) - $24.99
Dead Rising 3 (Xbone) - $24.99
Forza 5 (Xbone) - $24.99
The Evil Within (PS4) - $25

So, my Brack Friday Bunduru shopping spree is now complete - 8 games (4 Xbone, 4 PS4), $170 total - not bad!

Lara-Croft: Temple of Osiris on Steam.

Already preloaded and should be unlocked today, but i am not gonna play it until friday. I plan to come over to my friend's place, log in to steam from his computer and play the game as it's meant to be played: in co-op.

Previous game, Guardian of Light was a blast to play with a buddy, so i am not even gonna wait for reviews, all they have to do is rehash the game and it will be already great.

I got Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragments.  I'm interested because I watched the series and thought the game aspect might be interesting.

Suikoden II (PSOne Classic) - Nice to finally see this on PSN.  $10 sounds fine for a digital version of this long out-of-print, hard to find game.

Also, since Watch Dogs finally released on Wii U it made me think that getting a cool open-world game might be worthwhile. So I bought Lego City Undercover (Wii U) and have been playing it with my kids. The game isn't perfect but is better than I expected and actually a lot of fun. I really like how the gamepad is used, the humor is much better than I expected, and overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

(Ok, I lied. I'd be happier if loading times for Lego City Undercover weren't MASSIVE. But I can work around that. The kids and I take each loading screen as a "crazy dance" break time when we all get up, shake our butts, and dance around the room pretending to be characters from the game. Hey, whatever works.)

Bought Half Life 1 Anthology off Steam. I have Half Life 1 on PS2 already, but it doesn't have Blue Shift or Opposing Force. Plus, I'm paranoid my PS2 will die one day. Came with Team Fortress Classic which has ~50-100 people occasionally, but I don't care that much.

Today was another big day of purchases, an early Christmas to me.

Got a PS4 with the following games: Thief, Knack, Shadow Warrior, Injustice, Destiny, Diablo III, and Watch Dogs. Also picked up Smash Bros. for Wii U and Mario and Link Amiibo.

Got Child of Light, Chariot, and The Tinkerer.

Started Child of Light.  I thought it was the one where you send generations of kids into a castle.  I was surprised otherwise but, I like the game so far.  My Son likes the game and he can participate as the Firefly.

Got a whole bunch of games over the holiday break, so will list them out quickly:
* Super Smash Bros for Wii U - Pretty expensive, but marked down to $45 after Christmas and then had a $25 gift card on top of that. Almost makes me regret slightly returning the Wii Fit Trainer Amiibo since that would be a fun character to power up and play against... but Amiibo distribution is so **** that I'm not too disappointed.
* Just Dance 4 (Wii U) - Just $3 plus another $2 for shipping, and a party game I've always been curious about. Who am I kidding - I'll  end up rocking out by myself most of the time. #guiltypleasure
* Skylanders SwapForce - Base set plus just over a dozen figures for the kids for Christmas. Although it's their game, I'll list it here anyway since we'll mostly be playing together.
* Stick it to the Man
* Mega Man 7

Pretty good deals all around, with both eShop being on sale too.

Complaining time:

Would have bought some 3DS games too, but my 3DS XL console was sent in for repair before the holidays because the spring in the SD slot broke and the card wouldn't stay inserted. Last I checked, the status was showing as "repair cancelled" despite Nintendo Support agreeing to fix it for me at a discounted rate after checking my Club Nintendo account and seeing that I'm a heavy buyer.

Apparently the SD card slot isn't under warranty, and costs over $100 to fix normally. Without an SD card, no digital content can be played or purchased, rendering 80+ of my games and applications inaccessible. Unless/until the console comes back in working condition I'm done buying portable.  If it doesn't get fixed then I'll just use the system to play retail DS/3DS games (yay for non-digital purchases) and wait for a good price on New 3DS in a couple of years to recover my digital content.

Given my normal purchasing habits, I consider that to be more their loss than mine.

Bummer about your 3DS. You could buy a new 3DS in the Spring and then sell your damaged XL online to subsidize the expense. I'm sure there are people willing to buy and refurbish it like Brandogg, especially if the system is still in a nice condition other than the card slot.

Not sure if I'd even bother selling since most of my games are physical anyway - the 3DS still works fine for those, it's only the loss of digital content (and being unsure if Nintendo are actually going to fix the system or not) that is annoying.
