Sunday sounds pretty sweet. I'll renew my netflix and pick out a movie shortly. I'd like to have as many people as possible join me for XBox live group viewing! If anybody's interested, how does 7 pm pst sound?

Yeah, you can join the same movie as your friends and it will sync the movie for everyone. You can chat with the mics, of course. It also has your avatars at the bottom watching the movie (MST3K style) and you can control their gestures and stuff. It's pretty funny. Or you can just watch the movie full screen instead.

Thats awesome. I just get HD and 5.1 sound with my client.

Group watch should be a new feature of the new Netflix after the split.

I could see that being very popular, other than the fact that a majority of devices that it's connected to don't have a way to actually communicate voice input....

Hopefully a standard feature with future console versions since they will all have mics build in.
should be a standard PC option too for those with mics.

Even without the ability to chat it be great to get people together. Like in our case we could just raid NWR's chat room if we could get the movies synced.

So how am I going to get to the group movies. Only options open to me are Steam/Skype or NWR chat which wouldn't be that great. Got a good mic and ready to talk

If SUPER is watching it at 7 pm pst Sunday that means it will be 3 AM GMT Monday or 4 PM NZDT on Monday.

Nah man no Xboxes and I am not even sure of the availability of Netflix outside of the US. We can hijack the NWR group chat on Steam or do something in Skype, otherwise this is starting to look like a wash.

Do you have Netflix?
If not, do you have a fast internet connection (access to Hulu is a plus)?
Are you willing/capable of signing up for a free trial?
Are you against "alternative" methods?

Do you have Skype?
If not, are you willing to sign up (It's Free)
If not, is there another alternative that you prefer? (Google Talk has voice right?)

What time is a good time on a Saturday or Sunday for you?
and which Saturday or Sunday would work best. (Sunday is prefered)
