And they're talking about a game I couldn't care less about on Vita: ModNation Racers.

At least I get to watch a little of the conference live, though I'm sad I missed the Sly 4 formal reveal. I'll look for the footage posted online later. I have the "Apology" to watch as well.

I'm all for options, but these ones were put in a game that didn't require or need them.... atleast not in the place they used them But to each their own. It doesn't hurt the game to have that option but hopefully they will come up with better ideas with future games.

touchscreen on front and touchpad on back has a lot of potential. Sony just needs to be a little more creative.

This is pretty much the exact same demo they did for ModNation Racers PS3 a few years back, and it was boring then too.

I agree with BnM. Uncharted 2 has some of the best controls for a platformer and Vita doesn't improve on it. It just does it's own thing...which is weird.

How can you be more creative than putting analog sticks on your system, adding front and rear cameras, and adding a touch screen? Clearly none of these technologies existed until Sony invented them.

Ars Technica live blog is claiming price will be announced at $250 for wifi version of Vita, and $300 for 3G. Speculation or reasonable possibility?

Kotaku says the same thing, and that they got that info from Sony PR.

It's very reasonable. 3DS is WAAAAAY overpriced.

Nintendo could probably make a $30 profit on every 3DS sold at $199.99

Only Japan is going to care about Street Fighter x Tekken being on PS Vita. Everyone else will just play it on PS3 or 360. Having Infamous' Cole in the game is cool, though.

Sony supposedly downgraded the RAM in Vita too just so they could get the price down to something competitive.

and part of the Wifi version may be subsidized by the 3G versions with the contracts... if there are contracts.

For $250, consider me onboard for launch. I never owned a PSP, so the BC means I have a lot of things to play right from the start.

Now that is something to be excited over. Nintendo now needs to respond with a 3DS price drop 1 week before PSV launch.

The PSP Wi-Fi version is priced the same as the 3DS, and the 3G version is only $40 more. Sony may have just fired a pretty damaging shot at Nintendo. I'll probably pick up a Vita for that, especially since my digital PSP games will transfer over.

I still don't think Nintendo is worried about the price. They're launching Ocarina of Time in a few weeks. Mario Kart in Q4, possibly even Mario 3DS. They'll be fine.

I'll pass on Vita, just as I passed on 3DS.
