I find it odd that the reviewer score average and Metacritic readers average are so different. A 39% gap?

Hmm, at least this isn't like when Sony got in trouble a few years ago for making up a fake movie critic and citing that critic's comments in commercials for their movies.

IIRC, iTunes is plagued with people trying to inflate their own Apps by submitting fake reviews.

I'm actually kind of tempted to pick up DA2, despite some of the bad things I've heard about it.  I'm in the mood for a decent Western RPG (despite my loathing the first Dragon Age), and the wait for Mass Effect 3 in the Fall feels like an eternity.  I take a large amount of the criticism of the sequel with a grain of salt, because a lot of the complaints seem to boil down to complaints from PC players that the game is actually modernized and designed so it works better on the consoles where it will actually sell the most copies instead of being pirated.  As for the story complaints, I can deal with a story being set around one main location and being a more personal story about a single character's journey.
