Mafia XLVII: Hollywood. Day 2.

Variety Headlines:

Stephen Colbert Kills Ponies
By George Patton

The entertainment world was rocked today by the arrest of Steven Colbert in connection
with the slayings of numerous horses in different stables across the city. Police are not
yet certain what drove the comediene to commit such awful acts and are still questioning
him. When asked what led to his arrest, Detective Philip Marlowe credited an anonymous
tip and a youtube video showing the accused killing a horse and bragging about how many
he had killed and how the police would never catch him. Due to the popularity of the Mr.
Colbert, most experts believe a jury will acquit him of the crime in about 3 months when
the case goes to trial. (story continued on A2)

Tom Cruise Falls To Death
By: Terry Malloy

Fans were shocked today by the sudden end of actor Tom Cruise. The actor died after
jumping off a cliff to prove that he could fly because of scientology. Appearantly, he had
been in another heated arguement with noted jackass Matt Lauer and in an effort to prove
to Mr. Lauer the power of scientology, he stated that he could fly and would prove it. With
his death, Katie Holmes is now free. There had been great efforts to free the young actress
but with little or no success over the years. Tom Cruise will best be remembered for his
role in Minority Report. That's just a great film. (story continued on page A3)

Announcement Post.

Dead:

Vudu - The Pony Killer (death by vote)
Thatguy - Townie (death by mafia hit)

Voting will run until Midnight EST.

Quick note on different points.

For roleplay, I'm going to set a precedent.

Apdude gets 1 point for his rug comments. That brought a chuckle to me.
Thatguy gets 2 points for his epic roleplaying posts. I loved it. Of course, he's dead so the points are lost but still, his work should be recognized.

I know I said that there are 3 points available for roleplay and gameplay posts but I never said they all had to go to different players. So, if you want to make points in a hurry, that might be your chance.

As for gameplay posts, there is only 1 point being handed out for that and it goes to Mop it up for her breakdown of why she thinks certain people were voting for her. That's 2 points that went unclaimed.

There were 7 total votes for Vudu. Each player is worth 10 points. That means each player who voted Vudu got an extra point. The remaining 3 points are now carried over to today's vote meaning today's victim is worth 13 points.

Now on to today.

The Mop it up vote was a joke. I had to leave for work early so I couldn't change it to something else. Apologies.

Here are some basic rules of Mafia:
-Actions speak louder than words.
-Never trust Thatguy.
-Vudu is always Mafia or killer.
-Stratos must be stopped.
I remembered this from the Eternal Darkness Finale thread.  I guess the theory that "vudu is always mafia" turned out to be true, here.

Joke or not, didn't she technically vote for you first?   :P:

Well I'm about to get real high (34,000 feet) so I'm going to Vote Toruresu for now (I still think he pee'd on my rug).  This may change if I come down in time.

Okay, I don't have a better plan, and I have to put the kiddos to bed, so I'll also vote Toruresu.

I don't like this bandwagon. The strongest reason I have heard is that Toru might have pee'd on someone's rug. That's not a mafia trick.

Gimme something more solid please. You're all jumping on this way too fast for my liking.

Sundulous switched his vote really fast last night to join in the Vudu Vote. That's awfully suspicious. I'm voting Sundulous tonight and anyone else unsure about this Toru mob join me. Join fast, we are down the the wire.

Well well...

vote sundoulos

This seems to be interesting. I get a message telling I'm going to get voted out and of course, its true. (By the way, cellphone mafia rocks).

Anyways, I'm not really at home atm, last night I missed the vote by a hair. My vote was going to be for thatguy since my instinct told me he was  bad guy. I failed! I apologize for not being able to fully play this time around.

It's all good. I find myself struggling for relevancy in mafia all the time. It can be hard to juggle life with the game but I suppose that just comes with the territory.

So the scuttlebutt in the commissary is that someone thinks I'm trying to ride the bandwagon. (By the way... do NOT go in there. The guy who decided to use all that extra horse meat for meat loaf is never going to work in this town again.)

Now, I fluked into a good call last night, but it pretty much nailed that there's only one person over there who seems to know what's going on in this town. Of course, if I run with him again tonight, I'll probably have someone bumping me off and taking off with my friends Hamilton, Jackson and Grant.

It probably doesn't mean anything at this point, but I'm going to vote Stratos for trying to screw with my head. It's messed up enough as it is that I don't need the drugs.

I'm also uncomfortable with Sundulos' behavior, but toruresu's also been acting very differently than he did in the last game I played with him...  Glad to see nickmitch has joined us, though.

Hmm, I think I'd like to stretch the game a bit more so I can think this through.  Ties are an extension, right?  vote toruresu if so, or Sundulos if I'm wrong about the rules.

Hey noname aren't you that guy in The Wild Stalions?

My bud and I are going to form the Wyld Styllyns, just as soon as we get Van Halen to join our band.  Which will happen when we make a killer video.  But first we need to learn how to play an instrument.  Which is why we need Van Halen to join our band!

I'm gonna go ahead and vote toru. A last minute vote switch ain't enough to go on. I mean, they had to catch me buying guns red handed to bring me. Then again, I'm the King of the South, so they really needed to.
