PAX Prime Planning Thread
« on: August 18, 2010, 12:51:40 PM »
Hey everyone,

As I mentioned about a month ago, I will be attending PAX Prime this year. I know at least two others from the forums will be attending, but there are probably more as well. I have created this thread so we can see who will be there and eventually plan a meeting during the event.

Prime is the original one, in Seattle. I'd advise anyone with a chance to go to do it; PAX East was one of the best times I've ever had.

Just to make it clear for those who don't know, "PAX Prime" appears to be a unofficial name just to distinguish it ow that there are 2. There is PAX and PAX East.

PAX East sounded like fun, I would love to go to either one (even if it was just to be able to interact with dozens of Dragon Quest IX or HeartGold/SoulSilver players).

It's not unofficial when it's plastered all over the official website.

Can I make a suggestion for those going to Seattle Pax? Don't limit your meals to the cheap food court in the convention center. Just a few blocks west is the Pike Street market, where you can find much better food and less of a wait. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, no need to stand in line for an hour at Subway with a bunch of smelly nerds.

YES. YES. YES. Pike's Place Market is a godsend. Do what ShyGuy said and GO THERE. It's an amazing place with a **** ton of places to eat. Plus, you could probably get a few souvenirs if you have the money.
