What is the move pricing structure?

If I remember correctly...

-Move Controller: $49.99
-Nav Controller: $29.99
-Move Controller + Playstation Eye + Wii Sports knock-off: $99.99
-PS3 with all the above: $399.99

That sounds pretty close to what I predicted before. I'm gonna have to go look that one up as soon I as I get home.

Did you all notice how Sony kind of glossed over the PSP? They didn't even mention the Go. It was all "we're starting a new marketing campaign! That'll save it!"

This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Yes, I do believe I mentioned how pathetic that marketing campaign was as the Press Conference was going on.  ;)

Seriously, Sony, the PSP is a Lost Cause.  No one outside of Japan wants it, even for God of War.

Move Controller - $59.99 (x2)
PSEye Camera - $39.99
Move NavCon - $29.99(?)
----------------------------------
Complete 1 player PS Move Experience - $189.96

I know I won't be joining that Move-ment

There is no way just the controller is gonna cost that much though. That must be for the controller and the camera and would look more like this in pricing

Move Controller and Camera - $59.99
Additional Move Controller - $29.99
Move Navigation Controller - $19.99
--------------------------------------
Complete 1 player Move Experience - $109.97

It's not less than the $100 they said before, but it's pretty close, until you include tax.

I had Move priced $10 too high based on the report, but I wasn't too far off it seems.

Yeah, that was pretty spot on, BNM.

As for Sony's show. *Sigh* They just didn't do really anything. I was bored for a good part of their conference. They did what we expected (Pimp 3D, copy Wii) and not much else (except send Valve some moneyhats). It's safe to say Nintendo won.

If you have a PS3, Sony's started putting the Press Conference up on the PSN store for free download in pieces.  But IGN will probably do in the meantime.   ;)

Do you think Sony initially planned more on the PSP, but saw the 3DS and decided not promote a less awesome system and pulled it at the last minute?

that could be what led to the boring parts of the conference since they had to put in some Plan B filler.

Yeah, I was thinking that. Maybe Sony learned their lesson from when they mocked DS for its weak hardware, but then the touch screen and mic changed handheld gaming forever.... Boy, were their faces red....

That's actually what I really liked about the Sony Press Conferences of these past couple years: for all their screw-ups, Sony has shown that they actually understand their audience, the people who actually bought PS3s and (more importantly) the people in the audience.

The vibe I get is what I assumed Nintendo was like during the N64.  I figured Nintendo had made one big mistake with going with cartridges that had handcuffed them for the rest of that generation, but that they otherwise had a pretty good idea what they were doing.  Then the Gamecube came out and I found that that was totally wrong.

But with Sony I can see why they were number one.  It seems like they did a big screw up with the PS3 price and that has restricted them.  But they otherwise seem to know what they're doing.  They've got a good first party lineup, they've got great third party support and Move doesn't sound like a certain failure like Kinect is.  They've got momentum and seem to be doing the absolute best that they could with the PS3's price goof-up.  You get the feeling that these guys are going to be number one again someday.  Being a PS3 owner doesn't feel like being the owner of a lame duck last place console.

But they don't know portables.  Holy **** do they not know portables.

I sat in Sony's conference and thought it was great! Killzone in 3D was pretty cool, but once the montage went on I had mixed feelings about it. I think 3D is cool and maybe its just me, but there is an almost blurry(for lack of a better word) side affect to it.

Seeing GT5 like that just made it difficult to comprehend certain parts of video. It could have been because different games were just being shown left and right my eye's did not adjust accordingly. All I know is I couldn't wear those glasses through the entire game because of that. Though I did not have this problem with the Killzone demo.

I actually think it was more likely they saw the reaction from Microsoft's conference and they pulled some of the more "family-friendly" PS Move stuff.  I can't imagine they had enough time to make any major changes after the Nintendo conference - even more so when the actual conference didn't show off much about the 3DS - it was after the conference and everyone got to play with it that we actually heard about it.

Resident Evil 5 and Killzone 3 are going to get me to buy Move, but it sucks that I'm going to have to buy new hardware to play the kinds of games that should have come to the Wii years ago.
It does suck, but it should be fun.  I am very tempted by RE5 and DS2/Extraction to get the Move.  Problem is, with RE5, I'm going to have to pick up two of them because I know my wife will want to play as well.  I knew I should've picked up the PSEye when I saw it for $30 one day.

First off, release detail: The Move controls will be added to Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition as a free downloadable update, set to drop right when the Move controllers are released. And no, the standard version of Resident Evil 5 will not get the update. It seems like this is an easy way to move more copies of their Gold Edition. To be fair, fans of the series and the fifth game shouldn't pass on it anyway.

So...yeah.  If you didn't buy the Gold Edition, no Move support for you.  *facepalm*

I wonder if Polyphony Digital is going to give a special discount to those that bought Prologue. Maybe they will just charge them in full for GT5. Of course they will. Does that confirm that a lot of people just paid $40 for a demo? lol

I agree as well.  So because I bought the original release and bought the two added expansion DLC releases I'm just not good enough for Move support?  This is crap.  I guess I'm not getting a Move then.  If I could add it to my current game, I was going to get a Move.  Since I can't, I'm not going to buy a Move.  I hope Sony strongarms them.

I wouldn't think so. The marketing campaign was just about the PSP. If there was a PSP2, they would've had PSP2 marketing set to go. Plus, we all knew about the 3DS ahead of time, we just hadn't seen it. Sony probably just couldn't make anything to go against it yet, so they went with Marcus.
