I tried to email again and again it comes back.


I clicked on the newscast hyperlink and this email popped up: newscast@nintendoworldreport.com which is the same spelling on the article . So I don't know what the problem is.

Anyway Great show guys. I'm glad to hear Dementium II is a good game, I don't get why Johnny hates Tetris ds I am angry that you can't update Tetris Party Wiiware to have the new features that the retail game has. I would pay $5 to update, no way I'm paying $30.

According to IGN Tetris Party Deluxe has the following:

  Bombliss: This was actually seen in Tetris 2 for the NES and Game Boy back in 1993. Players have to deal with non-standard Tetris pieces that include bombs. Clear lines and the bombs will cause chain reactions.

-   VS Sprint: Three players compete locally to see who can be the first to clear 40 lines.

I don't see why it would be difficult for them to update the Wiiware game and just charge $5 for those who already owned to have the new features. whatever I never liked double dips in dvd's and now they are doing this crap on videogames that sucks

For me, it doesn't matter how many wacky modes you build around Tetris. None of them can be as good as the basic original, and that core gameplay isn't worth $30 to me in this modern age, nor is it something I'm going to spend much more time on beyond the 100+ hours accumulated across numerous versions. The only Tetris enhancement I really care about is some kind of persistence, like building up lines in The New Tetris (N64). I also liked the mega-block feature in that game, and it's odd that the newer versions don't include it.

It's a first-party adventure game that Nintendo first announced on October 2008, but they haven't even mentioned the game in over a year. It hasn't been officially canceled, but I wouldn't bet on it getting released if they don't even mention it at E3 this year.

It boggles the mind that there aren't more astronaut games, simulation or otherwise.

The fall of the US Space program probably has something to do with that.  We might see that improve once the economy recovers and people start looking to space again with optimism.

While I'm sure there's some truth to that (though I'd point out that we still get a lot of Space Marine games like Killzone and Halo, as well as JRPGs that use space as a backdrop and of course fantasy series like Star Trek and Mass Effect), Jonny's talking about real astronaut-type games.  Exploring the vast unknown.  Right now, while so many things are going badly on Earth right now, I don't think the general public gives a damn about what goes on in space.  In fact, many probably see it as a fantastic waste of money.  No demand in the market=no developer imperative.

Actually you can move as fast as you want since there's (effectively) no friction, all you need is the time and fuel to accelerate.
Of course you probably wouldn't want a proper simulation (that would be boring simply because space is mostly empty), the way it's done in Shattered Horizon is pretty good.

I was talking about stuff like walking on the moon with not being able to move fast. There is also the problem of giving people the sense of speed. Going 186,000 MPH doesn't mean much if there is nothing in the background to show you actually going that fast.

I was surprised to hear all the anticipation for Four Warriors of Light: the impressions I've been hearing out of Japan were that the game was just advertised as an old-school game, when in fact it's just something of a mess.  Admittedly, my "sources" are forum posters I've never met, so...

A UK trailer was released today and Final Fantasy: The 4 Warriors of Light looks alright. I haven't played it since it's not out yet, but I will at least be keeping my eye on it.

My source is Chris Kohler, who's actually played the game.

I think the Newscast folk just didn't really know much about the game.
