Oh these things are annoying.  Every damn time you register you have to go through one of these things.  If I never saw one again it would be a day to soon.

I want to fill out those special surveys. Maybe if enough of us complain about certain games not coming to the States then they will finally bring them over.

Do these Club Nintendo Bonus surveys mean anything?

Thank you for registering Mystery Case Files: Millionheir at Club Nintendo.

This one means you buy too many shitty games.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Agreed.  And my answers pretty much told them that.  To be fair, I hadn't really read that much about the game before I bought it - I was expecting something more like Professor Layton or Trace Memory.

It wasn't.

They asked my is I would be likely to purchase a DSi/XL

I said no.

so they asked my why.

I gave them 2 reasons, but now that I think about it I should have given a 3rd.

1.) There is no way of transferring DSiWare from DSi to the XL and which means no plan to transfer the DSiWare to the 3DS. Same problem exist on the Wii

2.) There is a 3DS coming out soon..... have you heard about it?

Option 3 that I should have included was
3.) Too expensive. Prices should have dropped for older versions as you introduce new models, but the prices just kept going up.

BlacknMild, do you listen to the RFN podcast? I asked about this and I think the staff had good points in their answer. The DSi and DSi XL are the same system, so Nintendo has no reason to set up transfer system. The 3DS will be a new system and Nintendo will want customers to buy it, so they likely will have something set up to allow you to transfer DSiWare purchases to the 3DS. You can not assume they don't plan to let you transfer DSiWare games to the 3DS, or the Wii, because there is nothing to indicate that.

Also, we don't know when exactly we will be getting the 3DS, and you can still play your DSi/DSi XL after the 3DS comes out.

But I never planned on buying one anyway. I was just trying to press the issue of downloads tied to accounts instead of to systems.

Also trying to rub in their face the announcement of 3DS about a week before DSiXL (which I was kinda interested in).

I was simply supporting the cause with my survey answer, not giving 100% honest feedback.

and also alot of people who have a DSi might want to upgrade to the to the XL and therefore not being able to move your downloads is an issue. If Nintendo is being this reluctant now, I can only hope it's because they have a better solution (Universal My Nintendo Account) that spans the 3DS and the Wii2H3D tying everything to an online account with a username/password and a Mii.
