*puts detective hat on*

Go  here and click on the third parties flock to Nintendo Gamecube section. You will notice it says
Quote

Industry leaders such as Electronic Arts, Sega, Capcom, Activision, Gotham Games and many more will be showcasing their upcoming Nintendo GameCube games at the 2003 E3 Expo.

Well, now if you go back to the E3 page and read the writing in the top left corner it says this
Quote

Industry leaders such as Electronic Arts, Sega, Capcom, Activision, Rock Star Games and many more will be showcasing their upcoming Nintendo GameCube games at the 2003 E3 Expo.

A good way to read this writing is to click select all and then copy and paste it in notepad or something. Hmm, i wonder if this means anything? GTA to the cube?

given that Sony bought exclusive console rights to the GTA series until the end of 2004, I doubt it.

Rockstar makes a lot more than just GTA.  I'd guess a port of State of Emergencey myself.

Weird.  It's probably a typo... or maybe they meant to include both?

Rockstar hasn't made anything yet that I want to play (and I don't think they are going to in the near future either).  So personally I am just curious.  It matters little to me either way.

Since it wont be GTA, and I dont think we need GTA when True Crime is coming, its probably some cheapass multiplattform port.

Most likely it's something like Midnight Club II or something.

Rockstar said they had a big surprise for GC owners last e3, and nothing. Do they make Max Payne?  Because I know theres a sequel coming...

Omen: No, I think that's Take Two, who publishes a bunch of Rockstar's games.

Anyway, I can't find this little oddity- it says Gotham Games no matter what I do. It can't be a typo (who misspells "Gotham Games" as "Rockstar Games"?), and I'd be wondering by Nintendo's calling Gotham Games an industry leader at all.

::EDIT:: Nevermind, I found it- you were talking about the quip you can't see all of on the main page. Pretty ingenius find, Mario.

If thats true, it does make alot of sense.  Why not port them after theyve sold a billion copies on one console?  They'll then sell millions on xbox and GC, but 2004 - probably means late 2004, and by then , i dont think anyone will be too hyped for 2 and 3 year old games..

They already made a GTA clone, it was called Body Harvest!  Heh heh, okay, so the games are a quite bit different, but it did at least have the  car-jacking theme...and airplane jacking and boat jacking.  Actually, Body Harvest and Space Station Sililcon Valley were both made for the N64 by DMA before it became part of Rockstar, and I thought they were awesome games (albeit a little flawed).  I'd love to see a new game from them!  But I would bet that a port of some PS2 game is more likely.
That's my opinion, not yours.
