The DS is arguably the best Nintendo system ever created.  It's got a huge library of exclusive titles and many innovative things about it.  But the DSi beats is in almost every regard (all except GBA compatibility).  Anyone who owns a DSi will vote for it over the regular DS.  However, since so few people on these boards own a DSi most will probably just vote for the DS.  The vote will be split and the systems will rank in the middle instead of at the top.

The same holds true for the GB and GBC (although to a slightly lesser extent).

I never said Virtual Boy shouldn't be included.  I just mean it's guaranteed to rank in last place, so I don't really see the point.

I was thinking, since this poll will have so many choices, maybe it'd be best to lump the entire Game Boy line into one, and the DS line into one? That will leave the poll like this:

The Game Boy Advance should not be lumped in with the other Game Boys; it's clearly its own system. Other than that, I agree with Mop it up's list.

I went with the SNES, mostly for the fantastic library of RPGs on the system, including Chrono Trigger (my favorite game of all time).

Actually, no, Perfect Dark is my 4th favorite N64 game, which shows just how great the system is. The three in my top five are Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and Star Fox 64.

I don't know if that's true as a general rule, but it's true in my case. Number 2 for me would be the DS, which by that logic would require me to be even younger.
