Okay, so vuduisdudu and I were having a discussion about this round of polling.  Which totally throws off my future plans of running off the winning titles against one another.

Do we include the Game Boy Color, Virtual Boy and the DSi/DSiXL as their own systems?

Virtual Boy seemed pretty obvious to me, but vudu doesn't like it because he doesn't think anyone's played it, so it'll lose just because of that.

For the GBC/DSi - in spite of the fact that these systems have a selection of games that simply cannot be played on the earlier version of the system, vudu feels that having them as options will split the vote.

So, cast your vote on if you want to include the Virtual Boy and if you want to include the Game Boy Color and the DSi as separate systems.

There can be a fairly decent argument made for the Virtual Boy being in the poll and considered its own system considering it...well...was.  I won't vote for it, but there's no reason it shouldn't be in there.  The DSi and Game Boy Color, though, are just spin-offs of the DS and Game Boy, respectively, and should only be considered as such.

I think the market dictates what is a successor and what is a hardware revision or different model. In the case of the Game Boy Color, it replaced the Game Boy, both on store shelves and in game development. The DSi, meanwhile, is being sold alongside the DS, and a majority of its games are still DS games, pretty much all of which are retail games. So, the GBC is a successor and the DSi is a revision. If the GBC is a revision, then the Wii is a GameCube revision.

Many of the Gameboy Colors games still worked on a normal Gameboy.  None of the Wii's games can be played on a Gamecube.

Well I am going to include all of them. The GBC was its own system. I consider that the GBP was the stopgap between GB and GBC.

As for the Virtual Boy I think it deserves to be up on the poll. I have played this a few times but I personally never owned one.

The DSi I believe is a very interesting take on the DS line. I liked the idea of it and it deserves to be up there.

Game Boy Color is a different system, I don't know why you would not include it. It is NOT a spinoff (sorry brood, but you are 100% wrong). Virtual Boy is another easy answer, yes.

DSi is not a re-model of the DS, so no.
