I really enjoyed Corruption, just not as much as Zero Mission. No problems here with it being the next winner, though.

Zero Mission. Echoes is easily the weakest of the Prime series...and does not deserve to be higher than some of the best 2D games around.

Zero Mission is definitely just under Super Metroid for the 2D games. I enjoyed Fusion too, but I'm still going with Prime 2.

Zero Mission was the best 2D Metroid in quality IMO. I have to go with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes now.

"Meh, it's ok." It's a lot of Super Metroid fanservice, and I don't care all that much for Super Metroid. I thought the SA-X was a cool idea, but it was just about the only thing I thought stood out with the game. Throw in the excessive amount of linearity for 99.9% of the game so you couldn't explore for secrets organically as you visited them (instead, you had one big cluster**** of it right at the end of the game), and it's just not a game I cared all that much for.

I was planning to pretty much go with the Prime series after Super Metroid and Zero, however now that the Prime games I would have voted for already won, I went with Fushion. I believe it is an excellent game that really added to the Metroid experience. Some didn't like the less isolated feel, but I really enjoyed the nature progression of the story and how it felt like Metroid 4, and the changes incorporated to make it more accessible for portable gaming.

The only thing I didn't like was the Spider boss.

I disagree...Echoes was a mess, and people are just upset because Fusion took Metroid in a different direction.

Echoes wasn't a mess, it just made a couple of minor mistakes. I only played Fusion for an hour (I never owned the game, a friend let me borrow his copy during lunch). I will stick with MP2E.

Dunno, it really failed to grab me, I didn't like it much when I played it. Of course it's still better than the grindy Metroid 1 and the non-Metroid Fusion so it gets #2 by default but it's a distant #2.
