Probably no need. to Sticky, but if you are going to keep it one thread only, it will probably need some maintenance like linking to where new game thread discussions start on the first link.

Honestly, I can see keeping on thread for like 3-5 game polls, then locking and moving on to another to keep threads from getting too big.

I actually figured this would happen. The 2D fans all pretty much agree that Super Metroid is the peak of Metroidy goodness. 3D fans can't agree on Prime 1 or 3.

Prime 3 is the only Prime I've played. I really need to go back and play the others on the Trilogy. And it's not just split votes that gave it to Super Metroid; it beat everything else combined, and rightfully so.

Metroid Prime has the best atmosphere. Prime 3 is too mechanical.

Went with Metroid Prime. It is probably the best game on there now. Maybe Zero Mission.

Super Metroid was a good game, but it doesn't even come close to being as good as the Prime games.

Prime 1 is best, then 3 (then Zero Mission).

I have to say I enjoyed Prime 3 better than Prime 2 or Prime 1.

Though, I will say I think Prime might be the best experience...I just didn't enjoy it much.

Maybe, although Metroid Prime should have been first. Of the remaining games, the only ones I have never play are Metroid II: Return of Samus and Metroid Prime Pinball. I did play the horrible demo of Metroid Prime Hunters that came with early DS systems (Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt), and I heard the full game was just as bad. If I had to pick, I would go with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption next as it is easily the second best Metroid game (after the first Prime).

Metroid Prime Hunters was not a bad game, it was just a bad Metroid game. It was a pretty damn good multiplayer FPS, considering the limitations of the DS.

I can totally accept Prime being the second best Metroid game...not my pick but good.

I am still going with Zero Mission. Fantastic Art, great 2D game mechanics. Great story mechanics introduced to the game without losing some of the Metroid feel, that some people believe is lost in Fusion. All in all one of the best Metroid experiences you can have.

Also, I think Prime 2, was too difficult, and Corruption although great just isn't 3rd best game material.

I voted Fusion.

I hate Hunters. But that is more because I hate FPS controls on the DS. Face buttons =/= D-Pad.

I am stoked that the 3DS has a stick so I can actually enjoy them.

I thought Hunters controlled beautifully with the thumb strap to aim; I'd take that over aiming with an analog stick any time.

Sure are a lot of casual nongamers in here, if you can't play the game, you shouldn't judge it.

Prime 1 was a great game and got me into Metroid (sadly it took a $4.99 new price tag for me to jump on it)

For the next round, I don't know if I will go with Metroid: Zero Mission or Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
