Nintendo has filed a new trademark for Luigi's Mansion, despite the company already owning that trademark in the past for its GameCube offering.This has drummed up speculation that the Japanese giant is working on a sequel to the underrated but adored ghost hunt,starring Mario's oft-overlooked brother, Luigi.

I REALLY hope this means a sequel is in the works, but to be honest I think its much more likely this is just going to be an NPC wii-make because that would make perfect sense and all. However, that too would be great news. All we can do is wait and see...

I am a fan of LM and I don't think it received the love that it deserved. It was a GC launch title, so it really should have reached a larger audience than it did. But I think the GC's poor sales doomed this game as well, sadly.
