Result post:

Dead:

Shyguy - Germany (death by vote)

Failed hit: Both Germany and the War Profiteer ganged up on Thatguy's country but failed when they were unable to breach his bunker defenses.

The War is over. The Axis have been defeated. Now it is time to prosecute for War Crimes and to bring to justice the War Profiteer. But he will not go down easy. The War Profiteer is using his unscrupulous earnings to create his own private army and strike back at the nations pursuing him. How will it end? I guess well find out.

Voting ends at the usual time, Midnight EST. Night actions due an hour after that.

Warbuck Shop

Well, I'm sure we all realize the use of Warbucks will be big today. I was thinking about not opening the shop until around 10 pm EST for added madness but I won't today. The store is open at 10:30 AM on the dot. Send in you mad rush of item purchases. While I don't like basing decisions by time stamps, those closest to the opening time will get first crack at the items. You should know the items by now but check the rule thread on the items and cost. I'll copy and paste them tomorrow to this post.

Extra Vote - $100 (sold out)
Block - $100 (1 available)
Extra Atomic Search - $200 (2 available)
Steal Atomic Secrets - $300 (2 available)
Bunker for Day Vote - $300 (sold out)
Bunker for Night Actions - $300 (sold out)
Investigate Role - $400 (sold out)
Military Strike - $500 (sold out)

Can anyone look at this wonderful picture of me to the left, taken by my personal pal Jimmy Olsen, and tell me what I'm doing?

Someone, please.  Tell me what I'm doing in this picture.

Why would you aim a rocket at Superman?  You know I'm just going to saddle up and enjoy a ride.  Really, seriously.  C'mon people.  I'm Superman.  I shoot lasers out of my eyes.  I freeze people when I breath on them.  A bullet hit me in the eye, and I didn't flinch.  You'd need something stronger than a wimpy little missile to take me down.  Sheesh.

Well, my on the fly hunch was right and Shyguy was Germany. I was suspicious when he voted against me but was afraid to go right after him without more info since I only jumped into the game in 1941.

Many questions. This must be how Curtin felt.

thatguy at first seemed to have spent an implausibly large amount of Warbucks, like enough to be either America or the War Profiteer and yet, he's clearly not. Probably just good old Britain.

I either haven't paid enough attention to this game or the Profiteer is just a crafty, shifty fucker.

HOT DAMN, I WAS RIGHT.

Want to know the best part?  I sent Khush this PM yesterday.

I've decided to hold onto the bomb.  No one can afford to buy the secrets if I drop it on the wrong target and there's no honor in winning at the expense of all my teammates.

However--and this is just for fun--if I did decide to drop it, ShyGuy would have been my target.

I should have listened to my gut.

It's curious that the War Profiteer, who gets an instant win from teh bomb, didn't just elect to steal Nuclear Secrets from you. Since you were the one flat out asking everyone to give you our secrets.

Because the only secrets he would have learned were the ones I discovered via my own investigations.  Khush wouldn't know about anyone who sent me a PM with secrets so they wouldn't have been included.

I wasn't accusing Vudu of being the War profiteer, he can't be or he would've won already. IN fact I suspect that you're the one profiteering from this onslaught. You're teh IBM in our midst. You were quite open about the fact that who used a missile strike on kraken yesterday, showing you're flagrant disregard for Britain and her allies. You've also acquired enough money to buy a bunker as well as extra investigations on the first day. You're swimming in the cash you acquired from killing the US.

Targeting yourself and using your bunker is the perfect cover.

Yep. I've convinced myself; vote thatguy

EDIT: damn right you misread stuff!

Votes don't really matter so much today, so you know.

And no, it's not me.

Anyways, I tried to buy the missile strikes, but I might have been too late.  We'll see what happens.

Like I said yesterday, I'm not going to buy the role investigations today.  Take 'em or leave 'em, but use them wisely.  If you want to know who to investigate, and you're buying them, just ask me or vudu.

All right, I was too late.  Military strikes were gone.

Oh well.  Too bad I paid the profiteer with kryptonite.  Now he can use to kill me, stevey.

Since I might get hit by a nuclear strike, I'd like to make it clear--in case there were any doubts--that stevey is likely the war profiteer.  Townies, you know what to do!

Ok, so I bought the investigations, just so anyone around tomorrow will know who to target.  Four of us will die today, as a result of the vote, since the profiteer bought everything, including the bunker and the strikes.

There's really no point, since there should be something like just one person around other than the profiteer tomorrow, but still, why not do it?

Edit:  Results came in.  RAB is the profiteer.

Major developments today as the countries of Maxi and Vudu were hit by some terrorist strikes crippling their military force. It is believed that these attacks are tied into the ongoing war crimes trial. Both were regular countries. More details as they develop.
