Load Times Eliminated in Puzzle Quest 2

Galactrix's annoying load screens will not be making an encore appearance.

One of the biggest issues with the last entry in the Puzzle Quest series, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, was its 4-5 second load times when switching between the inventory and map - even on the cartridge-based Nintendo DS.  Thankfully, Infinite Interactive, the developers of the upcoming Puzzle Quest 2, confirmed to Kotaku that these load times are a thing of the past.

Infinite's Michael Cerven assured fans that the new game features a DS engine that has been rebuilt for the platform from the ground up, as opposed to the DS "retrofitting" of the lead SKU that took place with Galactrix.  This has eliminated the load times.

Puzzle Quest 2 arrives on the DS in Spring 2010.

How often do you have to open the inventory?
This reminds me of Ocarina of Time on the Zelda Collector's Edition which had a short load time when accessing the pause menu. It was rather annoying, so it is good they concentrated on removing that.
