Why haven't Game Arts released a game on a Nintendo home console system? Only Sega and Sony systems. Do they have beef with Nintendo?

Just been wondering since i really enjoyed Grandia II on the Dreamcast and would like GameCube support from them.

well i think game arts also makes the lunar series which i would love to see on any console again
they ported lunar legend to gba which was a very good game
personally i would love to see gamecube support but i doubt it will happen
the ps2 will probably see the next grandia (since ps2 got xtream) and maybe the new lunar game if it is being made
although i would love to see them on nintendo consoles, i just dont think i will happen
but you never know

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Game Arts that does Lunar (Working Designs just published it). Enix published Grandia Xtreme, so I assume Game Arts will have a future deal with either of these companies, neither of which is too keen on making Gamecube games. Good thing I own a PS2 and GBA.

i think the reason they dont go with nintendo is that they like to go with the console with the most userbase
i dont like that but since i own a ps2 it doesnt bother me as much
but i do want to see another lunar and grandia game in the future- those games kick ass

then why did they support sega so much? they never had the biggest user base...

i guess i'm annoyed b/c i don't have a ps2 (and don't plan to get one) and hopes future Grandia games don't become exclusive

Yeah, Sega consoles did get the original versions of both Grandia games, on the Saturn and Dreamcast respectively, before both games were ported to a Sony console. I hope Game Arts will learn to love Nintendo the same way.

i think back then the dreamcast was the best graphical system to work on
and when the original grandia came out the saturn was better than the psx
if you compair grandia on psx with its saturn counterpart, the saturn plays way better and also looks better
same with grandia 2 for dc- it plays better on it than the ps2 (which is very strange)

Grandia II for the PS2 was just a cheap port.

As for Game Arts on Gamecube, it doesn't seem likely. I think Enix picked up the rights to publish most of their titles, and Enix stated they will only be working with the PS2 and GBA.

bobby: Jeez, people twist around quotes so often- Enix NEVER siad they would only work for the PS2 and GBA, they said they were focusing heavily on those 2 consoles. The Gamecube will get very little support, but it'll get something. Even the N64 got a few Enix games.

That's what I thought I heard. I still doubt the Gamecube will get any of the RPGs, maybe just a wierd game or two, like Mischief Makers on the N64.

i dont know if they will ever get rpgs from game arts-they have been quiet lately for rpgs
but mischief makers was made by treasure if i am not mistaken, not game arts
personally i just want to see game arts bring back some lunar games with grandia to boot
who knows what they will do- i would hope to see some gamecube lovin' but i doubt it

Yep- Mischief Makers was developed by Treasure and published by Nintendo. I originally thought it was Enix that made the game, but I was wrong.

Well, I was talking about Enix publishing games on the GC, and Mischief Makers was published by Enix. It was indeed developed by Treasure.

That's only stateside.

And Enix did make it clear it's targetting the massive userbase, hense GBA+PS2 support.

I think with the merger relations might improve a bit but I doubt you'll see an exclusive support unless FFCC sales are BOOMING (meaning outselling PS2 software sales). I think Square Enix will sit back for sale figures before jumping in like Capcom did with it's RE series.

And I know Enix is targetting the GBA nad PS2- I believe I even said something to that effect. They never said, however, that they wouldn't be doing anything on the Gamecube at all.

Yeah I heard those numbers too, I think PS2 had the highest and Gameboy Advance had a little less. Didn't Enix say they would support XBOX a little?

i only remember enix saying they would develope for the systems with the highest user bases
so i know they are going to go with ps2 and gba mostly
i dont remember if they said anything on the xbox though- i dont think they did but i would have to look into that
they are going to support nintendo but mostly on the gba
the gc may get something, but i highly doubt that
its all going to depend how the ff games on gc and gba sell
if they sell good (on gba its been good) then they may support nintendo more
if ffcc on gc sells good- expect more games
so just hope that sales will sky rocket for that game

I can't see Enix, a company which is most successful in Japan, doing any games on the X-Box. I could be wrong though.

they supported Sega so much back then on the Saturn was because it had more graphical power than the PSX for sprites
if you remember correctly Grandia 1 had sprite graphics
