Well, I bought it Tuesday.  It's quite good I think. There aren't a whole lot of extra features, but there are 28 episodes which is pretty insane.  I'm still slowly watching all of them and I'd say my favorites tend to come from the first and third discs so far.  I still have a ton of episodes to go though.  If you like the show, this is pretty much a no-brainer.  Stewie and Brian are a riot (hence my favorite episode thus far being "Road to Rhode Island").

I just found out recently, but the Family Guy is actually based on a short cartoon aired on Cartoon Network's "What a Cartoon Show" entitled "Larry and Steve", in which a rather stupid guy adopts a rather smart talking dog. Of course, this fits right in with The Family Guy with the whole stupid guy and talking dog thing. Next to Dexter's Lab, I'd say it's the best What a Cartoon Show materialization yet.

omg family guy is my favorite series ever!! (despite the fact i say that about the simpsons, futurama, invader zim...) i should buy it on dvd, even though i downloaded every episode off kazaa (quite a feat on 56k )

one of hte best episodes is "death is a bitch" where Norm (from the Norm show) is death
