13 Reasons Why (Netflix)
Show about a girl who committed suicide and leaves 13 reasons why she did it.
I started watching this on a whim... and 2 days later, I finished it.
High School based drama, but with a very real message, and an interesting way of playing it all out.
I don't want to say too much about it, but i engaged enough to run through it quickly, so i would definitely recommend it.
There are *show spoilers*scenes of light nudity, mild portrayals of rape, and a graphic suicide scene so be fair warned. most of that comes towards the end.
I feel that the message in the show is a bit mixed, but in the end, the point became clear... or maybe that was because of the "aftershow show" that started playing... either way, it was a good watch, well worth the time if you ask me.
Edit: Damn, this show really did get the message thru to me. Just this morning, someone reached out to me in a situation of desperation where they are making decisions that could ruin/change/influence the rest of their life....
I've already tried to offer what support I could (Not financial... It's a complicated situation) and everything is telling me to steer clear...but it's the holidays, and I feel bad. I feel like I could be one person to maybe get thru to her, but then again, she gotta do what she gotta do.
So conflicted.
