As long as you don't drive, or put your self in a situation where you need to be responsible, getting drunk can be quite theraputic. Its also bonds people together. I spent many years partying and many years as a religious fundy. The friendships I made while partying were far more real and close than the akward friendships with other religious fundies. This is not always true of course, but just one example of why drinking can be a good thing. Just have to be smart. Plus, beer and whine make every meal better. Even breakfast (if you're in Belgium).
You could just as easily make the argument that driving a car is "stupid" b/c so many people die each other. Just have to be careful.
After the long week i had last week, especially the stressfull day i had that same friday (almost got into a fight with a contractor at work.. lol we made up though).. you have no idea how true I find this statement. Especially how it brings people closer together. There's a girl from work that showed up that I was never introduced to when she started working here about a MONTH ago, and it's always been awkward because after such a long period of time working with someone, its just odd to go "by the way my names Mike".. which i did, but things were still awkward and we barely talked..
Yet that friday night I happened to catch her in a corner crying and gave her a shoulder to cry on until one of the other girls from work came by and rescued her (or rather rescued me from being puked on). Came in to work this morning and got a sincere smile, "thank you" and "good morning" from her. Awesomeness.
Woke up this morning with a pair of ripped jeans, two massive bruises (one on my hip and one on my shoulder), two big grazes (knee and elbow), a swollen cheek and an awesome fedora. I have no idea how I came in possesion of anything of these things.
edit: oh right, I also had red lipstick around my belly button.
Pics of the awesome fedora or it didn't happen
I never asked anyone to feel sorry for me Mop, so it works out well huh?
Well you did make this thread so that's what it seemed like.
I don't look down on people who drink a lot just because I don't do it myself, I'm sorry if it seems that way. All I was saying is, drinking is a choice. If someone drinks too much and gets sick or hungover or whatever then I don't sympathize.
I made this thread for fun. Thats why its in the funhouse

I don't need or want anyones sympathy and, like you, I don't sypathize for people who make stupid choices. I think I might've mentioned it on the forums once or twice, but I definately don't sympathize for people who make stupid decisions that lead to their own death.. call me a jerk or a monster but thats just how I am.
You wanna get drunk and get behind the wheel, turn your car over and break your families heart? Wanna mess around with drugs and get yourself in with the wrong people that end up shooting you while you get your haircut on christmas eve? Wanna act cool by taking daddy's expensive sports car out for a spin and go double the speed limit and lose control? I
will not shed a tear for you.*
These are NOT fictional scenarios..On a lighter note, by far one of the weirdest stories from that night:
I walk in to the busy bathroom to do my business when this guy that came in right after me shouts "hey bro, no homo but i gotta see your dick". Uhm, what?
