For the record I do not have a horse, and if I did I wouldn't get that horse high, and if I did get it high I surely wouldn't get on it. Then again how do I know until I try it?

Is it really "smart" to say something you've "NEVER" experienced is "stupid" ???
It is smart to learn from other people's mistakes.

Oh and Mop_it_up, when did animal crossing count as a social get together worthy of getting tipsy for?
If you're referring to the night of July 4th, I had just gotten home from a party.

You think I like feeling this way?
No but you did choose to drink too much so I don't feel sorry for you.

Actually the only real mistake that was made was not drinking enough water before going to sleep.
Most of a hangover is being dehydrated, another part is still being intoxicated.

So if you want to learn something, drink plenty of water(a water bottle full ) before going to sleep & stop drinking with enough time before going to sleep to wake up not intoxicated.

As long as you don't drive, or put your self in a situation where you need to be responsible, getting drunk can be quite theraputic.  Its also bonds people together.  I spent many years partying and many years as a religious fundy.  The friendships I made while partying were far more real and close than the akward friendships with other religious fundies.  This is not always true of course, but just one example of why drinking can be a good thing.  Just have to be smart.  Plus, beer and whine make every meal better.  Even breakfast (if you're in Belgium).

You could just as easily make the argument that driving a car is "stupid" b/c so many people die each other.  Just have to be careful.

Woke up this morning with a pair of ripped jeans, two massive bruises (one on my hip and one on my shoulder), two big grazes (knee and elbow), a swollen cheek and an awesome fedora. I have no idea how I came in possesion of anything of these things.

Well you did make this thread so that's what it seemed like.
I don't look down on people who drink a lot just because I don't do it myself, I'm sorry if it seems that way. All I was saying is, drinking is a choice. If someone drinks too much and gets sick or hungover or whatever then I don't sympathize.

After the long week i had last week, especially the stressfull day i had that same friday (almost got into a fight with a contractor at work.. lol we made up though).. you have no idea how true I find this statement. Especially how it brings people closer together. There's a girl from work that showed up that I was never introduced to when she started working here about a MONTH ago, and it's always been awkward because after such a long period of time working with someone, its just odd to go "by the way my names Mike".. which i did, but things were still awkward and we barely talked..

Yet that friday night I happened to catch her in a corner crying and gave her a shoulder to cry on until one of the other girls from work came by and rescued her (or rather rescued me from being puked on). Came in to work this morning and got a sincere smile, "thank you" and "good morning" from her. Awesomeness.

I made this thread for fun. Thats why its in the funhouse :P I don't need or want anyones sympathy and, like you, I don't sypathize for people who make stupid choices. I think I might've mentioned it on the forums once or twice, but I definately don't sympathize for people who make stupid decisions that lead to their own death.. call me a jerk or a monster but thats just how I am.
You wanna get drunk and get behind the wheel, turn your car over and break your families heart? Wanna mess around with drugs and get yourself in with the wrong people that end up shooting you while you get your haircut on christmas eve? Wanna act cool by taking daddy's expensive sports car out for a spin and go double the speed limit and lose control? I will not shed a tear for you.*

These are NOT fictional scenarios..

On a lighter note, by far one of the weirdest stories from that night:

I walk in to the busy bathroom to do my business when this guy that came in right after me shouts "hey bro, no homo but i gotta see your dick". Uhm, what?

That's awkward as ****. I would've walked right back outside or at least made some quip like "you want me to turn and cough too?"

I was way hungover the other day, but it was totally worth it.

I'm not as witty as I normally am when drunk, so instead i said "what the ****? Hey guys you hear this one? he said "no homo" and wants to see our dicks. How is that anything BUT homo?" and just laughed it off and made sure to cover everything up.

That's odd. I find myself to be more clever than usual when I have a nice buzz going, especially when I'm making fun of someone at their expense.

I don't know...maybe it's because I don't over think it.

It's more like that while you find yourself to be more clever, those around you ... yeah ... not so much.  ;)
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I was sober and annoyed, she was drunk and being retarded.
If I didn't vent here I would have taken it out on her.
And the lesson of that story was to get drunk.
Always avoid being the only sober one.
I'm no late night free taxi service.
especially not for her friends.

I'll always cherish the moment i saw my student teacher from high school senior English the following year at a college kegger and he poured me one.
