Woohoo! Game shipped last night and is in Arizona. Due here the 25th. Thankfully they normally get here sooner than expected.

I just played the first three missions and I'm having a blast with the game. Kind of wish I grabbed it sooner.

Played some of the early missions last nite since I'm out of practice, gettings S's, blow **** up.  Oh man this is thrilling.  More thrilling than reading other people's disappointment that stores won't have The Conduit in today.

That's fine, it'll be trial by fire.

The foundation for success is to 1) Identify all targets.  2) Order the appropriate units to attack the appropriate targets immediately.  3) Once you've done 1) and 2) in a time span of 2-3 seconds, then you can worry about what to shoot by yourself.  Priorities will change, and the process will be repeated accordingly.  But simply acting alone with everyone following you like ducklings is a death march.

It's more of an S-ranking recommendation...  Think "Pikmin with pressure" before you think "Call of Duty bangbangbang."

And having a clear understanding of using the right units to kill the right enemies is important for Co-op, because we typically will not have the same units, so each player will have a unique set of responsibilities.  Player1 may take the lead depending on the type of enemy targets, while Player2 might provide cover to make up for capabilities the other lacks, OR Player2 just hangs back and keeps a distance because the enemy has a clear advantage over Player2's units.

I can be around at 6pm PST if there's any takers.  No, I haven't played my copy of The Conduit at all.
