And apparently, Hideo Kojima and his team are heavily involved with Lords of Shadow. Say what?!

graphically and stylistically, looks fantastic.  hopefully the cut-scenes aren't retarded long and the gameplay is actually good.  it would be amazing if they could come up with a metroid prime style world where back tracking was actually enjoyable and each location looks distinct and beautiful.

Not really a surprise there.  Konami hasn't given us a real Castlevania game on a Nintendo console since the underrated Castlevania 64 games.  From all accounts, though, we haven't missed much so far.

The trailer was a whole lot of Belmont (assuming he's a Belmont) kneeling in front of a window then El Gigante comes out of no where. Right. At least the new Belmont looks like a dude.

I wonder if this means Konami has canceled IGA's 3d Castelvania for the 360/PS3?  I mean, I don't see Konami funding two 3d Castlevania's for the HD systems at the same time considering the high cost of development for the 360/PS3.  Not to mention the last 3d Castlevania did quite poorly so there's no guarantee either game is going to be a hit, another reason why I don't see Konami allowing two 3d Castlevania's to be in development at once.

Oh, nice. The gameplay doesn't look that much different than Lament of Innocence. I do appreciate the far better voice acting.

I wonder if Dracula will make it if this is a reboot. Excising him basically opens up the entirely plot.

After playing Order of Ecclesia, I'd have to say nothing but good can come from removing Dracula from Castlevania for a while.

If this game is indeed a reboot, then it looks like Dracula could actually be the main character.  The whole part about the main character in the trailer being willing to do anything to revive the women he loves just screams tragic hero who ends up going over too the dark side in the end.

Not to mention the whole line in the trailer about a "pure hearted warrior claiming the power of the Lords of Shadow as his own".  I seem to recall there are some storylines about Dracula that say he was originally a holy knight when he was still mortal and he became Dracula when he turned his back on God for some reason.

Plus since Kojima is involved with this game, we all know how he loves to makes villain not really villains in the end.  I wouldn't put it past him to make the main character turn into Dracula in the end and then make it seem like Dracula was really the good guy all along and that he's able to revive every 100 years because of nanomachines.

And while we're at it the Belmont Clan (and other similar organizations like the Order of Ecclesia) are actually evil shadow organizations that control the world behind the scenes, to whose plans Dracula is a threat.

Using the power of Dracula was the ability of Soma. We all know what happened to him. I doubt this guy will have the soul stealing abilities of Soma though.

Yes, this should be fore the Wii, but it looks really cool non-the-less. Also, anything with Robert Carlyle is money.
