TWEWY is my favorite DS game. It's well worth trying.

Ha ha, those acronyms get me every time! Yes, I've heard of that game, I just didn't recognize it by TWEWY. If there is ever a DS TV player then that is one of the first games I'd get for it.

Does anyone know, can you transfer your DSiWare purchases to another DSi?

The new DSi XL is coming out and I'm a little worried my purchases are going to go down the drain

You have to get Nintendo to transfer the items for you.

Really? What was the circumstance? I'm guessing they will only transfer them if a unit breaks.

Really? What was the circumstance?

I wanted to buy a DSiXL on release and transfer my $252 worth of downloads and credit to the new unit.  Was told this would not be an option.

A follow up e-mail gives me a glimmer of hope, but, for now, I wouldn't count on the ability to transfer your DSiWare just for buying a new DSiXL.

The DS Zelda games are starting to interest me.  But I have so many backlogged console games that it doesn't make sense to play a portable ANYWHERE.  Once I step outside, I have to be vigilant and aware of any potential dangers at all times.

Being distracted will make you a victim.

I didn't want to make a new thread and I already sent it into NWR (I don't think they received some of the last things I sent them since they never showed up on the site) but here is some news

Nintendo revealed 3 new colors for the DSiXL:
Blue, Yellow & Green

along with price drops for all DS models (DSL, DSi & DSiXL)

DSlite from ¥16,800 to price open
DSi from ¥18,900 to ¥15,000
DSi LL from ¥20,000 to ¥18,000

The price drops of all the DS models could be a sign that the 3DS might be released sooner than we think. Perhaps this is wishful thinking.

10/10/10.  11/11/11 would be a cooler date, but that's too far off.  Maybe 01/11/10 would work.

I also think it's a hint towards the aimed price of the machine.

I expect another price drop in the fall just before the 3DS releases.
I'm thinking that the 3DS is aiming for a $200 price cap.

You think they would try for something higher than $200 considering how much the PSP struggled at a higher price?

No, but they gotta ease the price of the DSi/XL down before the launch of the new system so they can price the system at slightly above where those were, which would be $199.99.

and honestly at that price, I'm expecting something with a few bells and whistles. Not just 3D and mostly more of the same.

I'm expecting this price drop to hit the US just after the summer when all the back to school spending starts and then I expect the DSL/i/XL to have one more good Xmas season in the US/EUR before the 3DS is launched at the end of Winter (just before March 2011).

I expect another price drop in the fall just before the 3DS releases.

Not a chance of that happening, they won't drop the price twice in 6 months.

As for the US, I don't see a price drop until October at the earliest. Unlike in Japan, where DS sales are slowing down (and the likely reason for the price drop), DS sales are as strong as ever here in the US.

Just sent this to the site: Nintendo's dropping the price retailers pay for DS Lite and DSi in the UK, which will likely lead to a price cut in the UK as well. Some retailers are already dropping the price by 30 pounds or so.

I have to ask since I don't know, but how much is a DSi/XL?

They have to get the price down enough to make room for the 3DS which I don't believe will be above $200.

Here's what I'm hoping for
$30-$40 price drop on the XL bring the price down to $150
$30 price drop on the DSi to bring the price down to $135
and $20-$30 on the DSL bringing the price down to $99

My DSi is my fifth DS, as three of my previous units broke on me. Well, now my DSi broke, but, unlike the previous times this happened, it's still under warranty.
