Best Buy to hold a massive 50% anime sale in 400+ stores

Complete store list that will have the sale
Best Buy's new DVD and Anime strategy outlined here

Basically what Best Buy is up to is they are having a 50% sale off of Anime in under performing stores and they will keep Anime stocked well in stores that have generally good Anime sales. The sale lasts from today 3/1 to 3/21.

Wait... the sale is to reduce Anime inventory in stores that aren't selling it.  If the store in SC's "biggest money making city" is selling Anime, why would it make them "retards" for not discounting inventory that's selling just fine?

Hmmm...actually my store wasn't on that list, there must have been a bunch of sad nerds at about 11:05 yesterday. Lots of tear-soaked dragon-print button-up shirts.

I guess my town likes teh animu enough to not get this sale, either.  I'll take that as good news, I guess, but I've never bought anime from Best Buy.

Edit: It's not on the list, anyway, but apparently that list isn't final.

Maybe I can finally get around to buying Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. There were also a couple other anime I was interested in but unwilling to spend money on.

My local best buy isn't included, but the one that is 15 minutes away is. That cracks me up.

Too bad I need to cut down on my dvd collecting. =P
