New month, new rewards. Picked up Super Punch-Out  and Kid Icarus 3D (3DS). Would have picked up Starship Defense, but I already own it. On the fence about Mario Tennis.

Club Nintendo claims there is some 72 hour Luigi "sale" on right now, where certain rewards are discounted. I can't tell which ones are discounted, maybe it is the ones that are already no longer available.
"Sale" ends March 19.
It is neat that they have a nice picture of Luigi, have changed the Mario Cap logo to Luigi's cap and the colour scheme from red to green.

Edit: I see this story is already on the NWR Main Page.

More of those amazingly beautiful Mario Kart trophies. Did anyon get any of the first batch? I want them so bad but no one is even selling on eBay...

Pikmin 3 is up for intend-to-purchase survey. Both downloadable and physical versions.

Also, you get double-coins for downloading New Super Luigi U, until August 1.

New rewards for September:
  • Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics II (Wii VC)  <== my pick of the month
  • Pilotwings (Wii VC)
  • Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (3DS eShop)
  • Art Academy First Semester (3DS eShop)
All games are listed at 150 coins.
Lots of repeat appearances for people who have been using Club Nintendo all along, but nice selections for anyone who missed out previously. All solid games even if they won't appeal to everyone.

I think they are thinking that they haven't sold enough Wii U games to start giving them away for "free".

Getting Virtual Console games through Wii still gives you the "cheap upgrade" option on Wii U though, right?  Not a great deal... but better than nothing.

Hm, so here's an odd one. Now that I have a Wii U, I went to Club Nintendo to grab my code for the $30 eShop credit. But when I check my history, I can't find the link to the code anymore. When I check the FAQs, it says I can find codes by going to Account and Coins > Order Inquiries, and then clicking the "View Game Code" link in the Activity column. But all it says in the Activity column is "Shipped," which it now says for all the games I had redeemed before too. These things aren't actually shipped, so it's a little strange...

Am I missing something, or is the site messed up? Does anyone else have this issue? I tried going to Nintendo's tech support forums, but it doesn't seem to be working right now.

I can confirm seeing the same thing. Your best bet is probably to look for the email notification that gets sent (although maybe it's different for the $30 credit than for other digital codes).

Club Nintendo was down for maintenance recently (over the weekend I think?) so something must've been updated that affected how reward history is shown.

Guys 2 things:

1 - Europe is getting those amazing Mario Kart trophies again. Will someone be willing to get one for me?

2 - I just realized I don't remember entering any code or doing anything with my launch delux wii for the downloadable deal. Is it automatic or did I have to enter something myself, like what Mop It Up is talking about?

Oh man thanks! I got 3 codes totaling $15 so far. I downloaded Luigi U, Pikmin and W101. I guess I keep buying more full prices games to get more codes huh? Thanks a lot dude!

Does anyone live in Europe?!

Yesterday, filling out codes for heap of games i got recently i realized that i barely actually put any actual money into Wii Shop.

Pretty much all my VC and WiiWare purchases i made, i did with points i get from Club Nintendo codes.

Also i heartily laughed when i saw that CN code for my Disaster copy expired. Ahahaha, this game was sitting on the shelf for years wasn't it.

I forgot to respond to this before, but there wasn't an email notification either. As I was looking through my emails, I noticed that I haven't received a confirmation from Club Nintendo since the choice for last year's platinum reward, which was back in July 2012. So it looks like that's been messed up for a while. No idea how to fix this issue either.

I ended up having to call them, but it wasn't a hassle. Just explained the problem, then after giving him my account information, he told me what the code was.

Apparently one of the rewards on Japanese Club Nintendo is downloadable version of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.

First time full retail DS title was made available on 3DS eShop.

Wow, that's a pretty awesome reward. If something like that came here, I wonder how many coins they would ask for it?

I already have that game, but it's a neat idea. I know they also got ExciteBots as some sort of Club Nintendo reward, which was the only way to get that game in Japan. I wonder if it were still in English...?
