The earliest that anyone's coins would expire is June of 2011, so we have a while to wait for something else. If nothing comes, then just get the Game and Watch Collection plus whatever else you can, and sell it. That's my back-up plan.

There are new prizes available and I personally couldn't want any of them....

There are 3 Mario folder and bookmark sets. Each folder comes with it's own matching bookmarks.
2 sets of Mario and Nintendogs greeting cards with white envelopes included- and no, they're not even the cool kind you could get in Japan that fold in different ways- they're just plain cards.

The folders are 250 coins and the cards are 300 coins.

The Wii Remote holder is a stylish item that holds more than Wii Remotes.  Trust me.

Nintendo just continues to stubbornly not get it...no one wants to waste their coins on this useless crap.  Give us the cool stuff Japan's been getting for years!

I agree, but I can actually just go to the Nintendo Store and buy them there- I don't have to order them. Waste.

AUGH, it's CONVENIENT for you to actually go to the store.  I live on the other side of the country.

The ones at the store are actually a different design- I don't remember what they look like, but they're essentially the exact same item. I sort of don't want them out of spite. The new items are paper and I don't like them because they remind me of going back to school.

I just looked at some of the new stuff. Atleast this stuff I can give as a gift(that will be used and appreciated), but I would still like all these points to count towards something that I want for myself.

NORTHWEST SYYYYYDE

I've got like 900+ coins and have NOTHING to buy with them. The new stuff is insulting. LOOK! CARDBOARD! The only thing I'd use my coins for is the DS card travel pack thing, because it looks cool. However, I fear that the interior is cheap plastic. I really wish I could get my hands on these things before I spend my hard-earned coins on them.

I guess that or the Wii Remote holders. But you know what? I have a DRAWER.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

I didn't feel like making a new thread or anything so I'm just gonna stick this here.
I was downloading a WiiWare Demo (Wold of Goo) and the download animation was different than usual.
Mario and Luigi were swimming around the screen sometimes collecting the coins that scroll by.
Is this something new or is it just something I late to notice?

Some of the D/L animations are rarer than others. I've seen that one, a luigi one and little and big images of both brothers. I assume it is random.

In one interview one of the devs stated there's a 1/256 chance to get that animation on a download and he believes most Wii owners have never seen it.

I tried to record it on my phone, but I only got the ending.

there was also one with Luigi hitting the blocks instead of Mario, there was one with both the brothers, and one where Mario was Big.
I was downloading all the demos that I hadn't tried out yet since I just put my girl's Wii online last night.

I've heard there are six different scenes for when you are downloading software. I've seen these five:

1. Regular Mario
2. Super Mario
3. Fire Mario
4. Super Luigi
5. Mario and Luigi swimming

Has anyone seen any others?

Yes, that's fire Luigi. That might actually be the Luigi I've seen, I'm not sure.

You can press "A" to make fire Mario toss fireballs.

Nothing of real importance to post here, but Club Nintendo has a new item up.

Bowser Folder Set w/ Bookmarks - 250coins.

Looks pretty nice, but we still need something of value put up on the site, like the behind the scenes book that I linked to in the blog section NWR.
edit:
Here is what Nintendo needs to put up on Club Nintendo ASAP

I found something that I would love to see come to Club Nintendo.

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/wiiware/wgpj/aquarium/index.html

It's for WiiWare in Japan, but it looks like a fun little thing to have where you can pick the fish in your aquarium.

Actually, I think that has already been available here for a long time. That looks like "My Aquarium", which has been available on WiiWare in North America since September 2008.

If you buy Endless Ocean 2 (like I did) with Wii Speak ($30) and register it, you get 60 coins. That's kinda nice.

Is it really? I've never seen it. Either way, I'd rather spend coins on it than actual money.

Halbred - Did you get bonus coins for getting the actual bundle, or did you get the 50 for registration + 10 for "early" registration (within four weeks of game release)?

BnM - if you want to order something from CN for me, I could gift you some WiiWare/VC titles. :)
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

I will keep that in mind next time I see something I really want.
I still have about 2 or 3 games that need registering too, just waiting for the June Platinum cut off to do it.

Did not register the game early, Bob. No idea if the bundle gave me more coins. I just registered the number I got in the box. I did recently "pre-register" for Pokemon HeartGold because that's the review game I hope to get (instead of Silver).
