I'll probably get the Game And Watch collection and sell it. Though I might as well wait until my coins are close to expiring before I do that in the off chance that they add something worthwhile.

Two years after you acquire them, I believe.

From the Club Nintendo FAQ:

Quote
Why are my Coins listed with an expiration date?

Unredeemed Coins will expire two (2) full Club Nintendo years (July 1 - June 30), plus whatever is left in the current Club Nintendo year, after they are earned. Example: Coins earned in March 2009 would not expire until June 30, 2011.

Click on the "My Coins" section at the top of the page and it will show you all the coins you have earned.  All my initial coins were earned on 12/17/08, so they'll expire June 30, 2011.

Yeah, I wish we knew if they were going to add more items.  I thought they'd be new each year.  I might just get Game and Watch as well.  We'll see.

There's a new Club Nintendo bonus survey up worth 30 coins.

It's short.  It takes 5 minutes.  It's as worth as much as a DS game.

No clue if there's a deadline on this, so if you want the coins better complete the survey soon.

For everyone that does the survey, I'm curious as to what you posted for questions #16 #17(the final question):

16. Please tell us what you do not like, or would like to see improved about Club Nintendo?

17. What kind of future Club Nintendo Rewards would you like to see?

here is what I put.
Quote from: Q 16
You need better rewards and more reward options.

My coins are likely to expire before I see something I really want.
why not coupons for $$ off more games, or access to special editions or WiiWare/VC downloads?
Discount on or special colors for wiimotes, nunchuck, M+ and matching protective casing?

Also, why not give points on 3rd party purchases. Every 3rd party purchase benefits Nintendo too. You could give points based on the quality of the game so that shovelware gives alot less points than a real 3rd party game such as Monster Hunter 3 or Dragon Quest IX

Quote from: Q 17
Discounts on Nintendo items. $70 for a complete controller* is asking a bit too much.
*(wiimote, motion plus, nunchuck)

How about if you make a certain amount of points in a Club year(Diamond Status), you get access to exclusive Game Demos that are not available to the public.
Like next year being able to download an exclusive playable (E3) demo of the Zelda Wii or any of the other games on the show floor.

I was just about to post this, to see if anyone else's account had the survey.  I was hoping Nintendo really liked me. ;)

For #17 - I mentioned the idea of bringing over games already translated to English with no hope for a US release, like Trace Memory 2 and Tingle's Rupeeland.

Well, I can definitely say for a fact right now that my response to #16 would be "more rewards, updated more often" and to #17 would be "soundtracks" or other such products.

That's fine. If we all send in similar suggestions then maybe they will get noticed and mentioned to someone that has the power to maybe explore them.

That was the whole reason I was wondering what everyone else was gonna put. So that maybe our collective thoughts could persuade the answers of others that might answer after us. Maybe a few of us have some really good idea that the rest of us didn't think about.

Blacknmild, did you really say "My coins are likely to expire before I see something I really want."?  You DO know that coins don't expire for at least 2 years after you earn them? From the Club Nintendo FAQ:

In the last 1.5 years I still haven't seen a prize that I would want.
I'm not a toy or item collector and I don't want something that I will just store away in some box or high up on some shelf.

I want something that I'm gonna use or something that will allow me to get something that I want.

1.5 years?  Are you in some kind of weird time warp BnM?  Club Nintendo launched on December 15th.  It's not even been running for a full year yet...
