"Last Gen" game values?
« on: October 31, 2008, 12:16:54 AM »
Have any of the major original XBox and/or PS2 games really retained their prices like some of the GameCube titles have?

I'm not just talking crazy things like Pikmin 2 - but games like Mario Kart and the Mario Parties still seem to fetch around $30-ish.

Hell, Melee still seems to go for about $20 (after shipping) while Halo for the original XBox only hits about $10.

It makes things difficult for folks like me who are trying to pick up cheap copies of Mario Kart: Double Dash and Kirby's Air Ride for LAN play. :(
Disc-only copies of Mario Kart should not sell for $21... :(
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Anything-Nintendo, once outdated, is an ebay classic.

I would kill a man for a GameCube version of Splinter Cell 3

Every once in awhile you get lucky.  I got Guilty Gear X2 on PS2 for $20.  The game is usually found for like $30-50 on ebay.  I bought it after playing it for the first time in an arcade recently, really fun game.

Any old Square-Enix games have retained their values.
