Both times i saw the trailer, i didn't have the best audio quality going on so i wasn't sure exactly what was said but..

With the captions on the screen and the whole revenge story they're alluding to, i thought MAAAAYBE.. That girl in the trailer that swoons for Travis under a tree and weilds a Darth Maul style beam katana (not so much a katana anymore, rather a staff but whatever i'm getting off topic) is the young girl that appeared with Sylvia at the 'real' ending of NMW. My memory is fuzzy but doesnt she refer to Travis as her father??)

But if the game is only set 3 years after the events of the original, there's no way that would work since that girls at least a teenager. and at the end of the original, the little girl looks no more than 7 years old or so.

So the whole "who will you kill for revenge" stuff had me thinking that..

What if the story unfolds as Travis wanting revenge on Sylvia for keeping his own flesh and blood from him (why this would send him over the edge, i dunno) and it drives him to breaking his batman-esque "one rule" (he won't kill women) to achieve his goal. I also envisioned Travis not finding out about this midgame or so, and the whole time before that he's trying to hit on his own daughter without realizing it and of course hilarity would ensue. I just figured Suda would be that crazy lol

Well, you did a fine job. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the story you guessed was close to the real thing. (Suda could always just fudge/ignore the age discrepancy you pointed out...)

The afro could pop out like the one chick in Austin Powers: Goldmember. She takes off her wet suit cap and shakes her head and POOF! Instant afro. I like it.

When my hair gets really long, I've been told I look like I have an afro when I wake up in the morning. It sticks straight up.

My hair does that around medium length, when its long i tend to have more of a wolverine look because it'll go up higher on the sides.

But anyway, NMH:DS is gonna be sick. Day 1 purchase and thats a promise!

yeah that what a lot of people thought when the first bit of info came out on theg ame, people thought it was for DS because of the cliche naming habit some devs had (Resident Evil DS for instance, ugh)

Got my Nintendo Power today and there is new info.

Shinobu is going to be playable.
The story will dictate when you play as Travis or Shinobu.
The games structure has been tweaked.The amount of money needed to fight the bosses has decreased.The gameplay progression has been altered.
Also that 50 ranked matches has been confirmed.

She will play differently than Travis.Her fighting style is different than Travis. She is a bit quicker and can jump.

That was who my other guess was. She would make some sense as well since she makes the swords. And Thunder Ryu if he weren't dead. But then again, other supposedly dead people have come back, and even if he stays dead, who's to say a ghost couldn't play.
