Ubisoft in negotiations to publish No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle in US

Quote from: ign
But according to sources familiar with the deal, third-party Ubisoft, which distributed the first game stateside, is in negotiations to do the same for the sequel. IGN has not been able to independently confirm this tip -- we contacted both Ubisoft and XSeed Games and reps for both companies had no comment -- so we advise readers to consider it rumor for now. Obviously, we will continue to follow the story and update with any new details that become available.

Great to hear.

Also there is going to be 50 ranked fights.

This news is somewhat old but they plan on bringing back Destroyman.

We don't know that, and I'd say chances are slim. You didn't fight 255 people in MadWorld.

Either way, I'm completely pumped. Dude's boombox turns into a giant robot arm.

As with the original, facing off against members of the United Assassins Association (UAA) is one of the main points of the sequel. It looks like there'll be somewhat of a big volume upgrade for Desperate Struggle, as Famitsu provides a look at a fight against the 50th rank!

That doesn't prove anything Maxi, Dirk's probably right. Anyway I don't understand how the 50th ranked fighter is fighting Travis? He's number 1, right? Shouldn't this Nathan Copeland be fighting the 49th ranked fighter instead?

How do you know these guys didn't beat Travis? This game takes place 3 years after the first.Lots of things can happen in that timeframe.

Oh right, I read it wrong. But still expecting 50 opponents is a little unreasonable, unless they completely tone them down from the opponent is the first one. Which is something I certainly don't want to happen.

I'm pretty sure he's fighting people from all over the country in this one, whereas in the first one it was just people from Santa Destroy.

Speaking of time, there are rumors that NMH2 will involve time travel. There were a bunch of reasons for it, but I can't remember any of them. Probably a load of bull, but meh.
