i'm glad this is confirmed as a wii title. Is it selfish to want it to stay on the wii? I love the game and want as many people as possible tp experience waht they missed in the 1st game, but... at the same time i want this little gem of a franchise to stay on the wii.

Sure i could see the death blows working with a lame flick of a second analogue stick but it wouldnt feel as fun... thats why this game has to stay on wii!

A few minor details:

~ Travis is fighting for revenge
~ Travis is now more serious about fighting (compared to his recklessness in NMH1)
~ Same team, same character designer

Not stated what the revenge is for...Could be revenge against Henry for killing Shinobu's dad, or perhaps against Sylvia for lying to him...Or perhaps something new!

Edit:  Forgot my spoiler tags...Though technically you shouldn't even be in here if you haven't finished the first one! >=|

Hm i forgot about Shinobu's dad... Travis let her live right? i dont remember much from the start of the game. Oh and if he is going after Sylvia for revenge, he really must be more serious in this game since you know.. she's a woman and he normally wouldnt kill one

this game is going to be interesting.. :)

It needs to take up right after the end of NMH as Travis and Henry are running, swords drawn and in combat, but I definitely don't need closure on that situation right away, maybe a quick fight with Henry then on with the main story arc of the game. Then back to the Henry situation towards the end, also I don't think we've seen the end of Jeane.

Er, despite cutting her to pieces? Or do you mean Travis' MAYBE daughter?

****, man, I just started the game on Tuesday.  I'm about to go up against Dr. Peace.

that fight made me wish there was 1:1 controls and a slow down mode to deflect those bullets with my own skill

That was one of my favorite battles Vudu.

1) Yep!  (Minus one hand...)
2) Well the interesting thing about the deaths of the women he kills in NMH is that they get more and more violent as the game progresses, starting with Shinobu, who he let live, and ending with Jeane, who he sliced in half even though he had already won the fight...I don't think the gender issue matters much anymore, though I'm sure his sexual harassment won't be affected... =)

Well that won't be a problem since they'll probably just give her some sort of cybernetic hand or attached weaponry where the hand would be since they love throwing Star Wars references in there :)

It looks like what you say, but if you pay close attention that blade opens up from behind, continues opening in between her legs, and ends at the back again, but nonetheless she looks like a tough, cool boss.

I just thought that considering the number of blades, and that they are radially spaced out, that one had no option but to be put in that position, but it sure would be quite a kill if she grabs Travis and up comes the blade through his crotch.

No, absolutely not. The Wii remote made this game good. It would suck any other way. I still think it's currently the best example of how well motion controls can be integrated into a game. You know, without seeming forced and/or crap (Soulcalibur Legends) or practically pointless (Mario Galaxy).

Anyway....
1. Travis is more serious now? What? Wasn't his silliness most of what made his character fun?

2. I actually expect Henry to die relatively.

3. Doesn't necessarily need Motion Plus, but it'd seem odd to ignore it. And I'd love to see what Suda could do with 1:1 controls.

he was always serious when it came to the battles,  he was just kinda quirky outside of them. That was my take though, maybe it was just that all the bosses were so over the top or insane (or both) that Travis looked more serious than he really was. Even if his personality is more seirous in the sequel, doesnt mean they wont write in some funny situations to be in or humerous gags like his recharging animation.

As for 1:1 control, i think it'd work pretty well if they took what they did with the original and only used the motion controls during those death blows where you had to swipe in a certain direction. You use the A button for all your standard kitana attacks, then when it comes time to deliver the death blow.. instead of swiping in a direction pointed out to you, you have the freedom to cut off an arm, leg, torso.. wherever!

OR, i almost forgot about these becuase you barely get them towards the end of the game... They could use 1:1 conrols during those dark side special moments (like strawbery on the shortcake).
