Right now, for the Wii, there's No More Heroes. I think it would be best if I had one series for Natal, and another for the Sony controller -- a different series for each system.

But isn't NMH2 going HD on PS360?

I really hope that was a joke question.

Why would that be a joke question? It's very serious. Did you read his statement? Wouldn't it be a contradiction if NMH2 is being ported to PS360? I don't see where the joke is. This isn't the Funhouse.

Not sure if NMH2 is going to be ported to any other consoles. The only thing Suda said that NMH2 will be the last No More Heroes on Wii. He never said anything else. He also said that No More Heroes 3 will most likely be on Nintendo's next console.

Edit: The only reason people are ASSUMING that NMH2 will be ported to other consoles is because the original 1UP misunderstanding/mistranslation and now the implementation of Classic Controller support. Ultimately nothing is set in stone, there is a possibility that it could happen and there is a possibility that it won't happen.

I'm referencing the story about Marvelous porting games to HD consoles.

http://play.tm/news/25459/no-more-heroes-on-the-way-for-ps3-360/
http://www.siliconera.com/2009/07/02/marvelous-considering-wii-to-playstation-3xbox-360-ports/

I don't remember if there was a follow-up on this story, I just remember the headline from the first article.

Sorry I'm not on the internet almost 24/7 combing the web for every last peice of information on this one particular game. Even if the information was posted in this very thread I must've missed it. I'll try to be a little more geeky and suck at living my life so I don't upset you again. So sorry *bows*

Because being able to keep up with games I'm interested in means I have no life, clearly. Way to perpetuate a stereotype that hasn't been true for fifteen years.

He clarified the question in the article you quoted.

It's not exactly outrageous to assume that a regular member of a gaming forum who is posting on the tenth page of a thread is up-to-date in regards to the game the thread is about.

I saw no such clarification. Since you are so up-to-date why don't you point it out for me.
I'm far too lazy to go back and re-read the article.

1UP: You mentioned once that No More Heroes 2 would be the last game in the series on Wii. Have you done any experiments on what it might be like on another platform, especially with the new motion controllers that have been announced for other systems?

GS: Actually, I answered differently, and it may have been misinterpreted. What I wanted to say was, looking at the Wii, I think No More Heroes 2 will probably be the last iteration for this current platform. But there's probably going to be a "Wii 2" or other next-gen system from Nintendo at some point, so I was saying that I would want to do another game in the series on the next Nintendo platform.

No where in there does it say that NMH2 is not coming to PS360 like the articles I linked to implied they might. So I see no clarification. Now we just have to play the waiting game. Remember, they opted out of M+and included CC support instead, that would make porting the controls that much easier.

NMH2

Oh ho! Now I see what happened. I read it wrong and thought you were talking about future NMH games.

But really if they try to port it they're just stupid. It's going to take a ridiculous amount of work to make NMH look even remotely presentable in HD, and it's just going to be money down the toilet when nobody buys it on PS360 either.

I still think that No More Heroes and Wii is a good match, and that for the game we need motion controls, and that's why it works so well on Wii.

So... Why are they offering a classic controller option?

Because Grasshopper somehow decided that they wanted people to experience No More Heroes without the part that made it so awesome in the first place.

I do not think that their brains not possano to include wriggles, but rather their brains are so with threads to the double controls analog than its a marginal fetish for them.

So it looks like a PS360 port of the first game has been confirmed.

What a terrible idea. A Japanese language track? Are they RETARDED? Nobody in Japan cares about anything Grasshopper makes. Being on PS360 isn't going to magically jack popularity through the roof. I'd be amazed if it sold well enough to even cover the cost of porting it.

Now here is an interesting scenario: A reversal of roles. Wii tends to get late ports of older games (most recently Modern Warfare) and if some of these old ports sell poorly then the publisher will not even try to bring the newer versions to that system. So I ask, what if this game flops? Will that dash any hopes of seeing the sequel(s) on PS360 as well? If they follow the same pattern as on Wii then there will be no second NMH on PS360 but I have a feeling that we will see it come anyway due to the industry's Wii double standard.

Can I say the game looks plays like the all time absolute worst piece of garbage on the 360 and PS3 and my precious little eyes fingers can barely stand to interact with it for fear of making me vomit?

I mean, it like totally ruins the immersion the original game!1!
