Tornado
« on: September 01, 2008, 02:55:53 PM »
I actually received some new info in this months Nintendo Power.  They previewed a game called "Tornado" for the DS.  Not much is known about it except you create the twisters with your stylus and then proceed to blow them to create havoc.  This chain reaction then brings captured cities from Earth on a distant planet, back to Earth.

I searched the entire Internets and this was all I could find.  Looks different to say the least....

Please tell me you aren't literally blowing the tornadoes (as in using the DS microphone). The concept seems cool, but that would easily ruin it.

From the NP article, you definitely are.  Hopefully though, this option can be turned off.  There's no way I'd be caught dead doing that at an airport terminal....

I wonder if the game gets delayed if another city gets wrecked by a hurricane?

Looks like the game was a turd after-all.  Its trending at a meta score of 47 right now.  Anyone by chance try it out?

No but I got Elements of Destruction (there's a 360 game of the same name that has a similar theme and a few similarities on paper but the DS version is very different in actual gameplay) for a fiver and it actually has a score of around 70%, I was expecting 30% before looking it up. If you want to destroy stuff with tornadoes that's the way to go.
