IGN very much enjoyed it.

http://ds.ign.com/articles/886/886628p1.html

This is the kind of game I wish a demo existed on Nintendo channel. Stupid Nintendo channel ds downloads ha√e become a joke. They don't put new games just switch out old ones from week to week.

1. Please for the love of all that is holy fix your grammar,  what the hell is "very much enjoyed it".
2. Me and ferny reviewed it and gave it top marks what other proof do you need?? Mario even recommends people to read both reviews.
3. Quit bitching about Nintendo they don't even have to post DS demos in the first place, if you want to do that I recommend you go to gamefaqs or gamespot and post your nonsense there.

Ferny's review is pretty good as well, I think that it's a tragedy that this game is getting a horrible distribution scheme in NA and Australia (can't comment on Europe)

Over here it has normal availability for a niche game, i.e. every store stocks 1-2 copies.

When I was at Toys R us back in late June to purchase the game I saw like 5 in those  anti theft plastic boxes.

Both of you are in ban territory with this thread.  Do NOT criticize other people's spelling or grammar -- there was no reason to do that except as an ad hominem attack.  And do not respond with your own personal insults.

PERSONAL INSULTS OF ANY KIND ARE AGAINST THE FORUM RULES.

I'm going to leave this thread open for now because it's about an interesting game that should be getting more exposure, and I hope people are actually interested in discussing it.

As for my contribution, I'll agree that a demo would be excellent for this game, but it's up to the developer and publisher to make one available.

By the way, I lived in Russia for a summer... and I very much enjoyed it.

Did you play it Jonny? I'm personally hoping that more publishers bring over indy games, the Wii and DS opened up possibilities for genuinely good small publishers such as Aksys, Xseed, NISA, Marvelous to expand on their operations in America which makes more obscure or smaller Japanese games to be reached out in the market.

So far a couple of good indy games came out courtesy of Gamecock and Eidos/secret stash games so I'm really hoping that more of these reaches out to the markets even if they may not have a great production run in the market, it will enable people to purchase and enjoy them.

It's not available in Canada :(

Or at least, I can't find it. I'll try eBay.

ha√e

I would very much like to know how you managed a typo as crazy as that.  That's impressive, and I'm not being mean-spirited at all.

The ancient ruins of a closed Toys R Us can be seen just down the street from here, and this situation gives me one more reason to lament its passing.

Wow this game looks awesome. I'll probably pick up a play-asia copy when it is back in stock. Good reviews fellas.

I'll pick this up if I run across it, based on the fact that Mario and Ferny like it.  Our interests generally seem to align.

This game is great.  The gameplay is refreshing, the level graphics are perfect and the music is so relaxing and fitting.  Still, I am only on the third world but two things keep driving me crazy

1.  I don't need a hint for every little thing in the game!  Do you need to tell me how to take a crap now!  Letting the player figure out things is important in a puzzle game.  Telling me how to do everything first takes away some of the enjoyment.  If you don't think people can figure out they can carry water in a bubble don't TELL them, put them in a situation where they have to draw a bubble that happens to pick up some water.  The player then discovers this cool new thing "on their own."  At least I can hit the old mans face when he keep telling me that my bubble is too big, but unfortunately he doesn't shut up. (I want a giant bubble so shut your face!)
2.  For a game as beautiful as this with little touches everywhere in the visuals and sound why did they make the player character uglier than sin.  The old man looks far better, I don't cringe when I see his face.  Generic would be an improvement or they could have simple made the character a glowing wisp or a ghost thing that wears masks.  Almost anything would have been better then this balding 10 year old.

Apparently they said in an interview the hints were because some people got stuck or they were worried that "casuals" might get stuck or something.

Proof that the demos on the Nintendo Channel work...

I'd ignored this game based on the name and the cover art.  I tried the demo a couple days ago and I played through it no less than three times.  It's awesome.  I was disappointed to learn that I'd missed it being on sale for $10 last week, but I still picked it up for $20.  Loco Roco, only better...love this game!
