I have a problem making patterns- I found that holding the remote up and coloring each tile was a terrible experience, no one draws that way. I immediately hoped for a wacom tablet or an idea I read about being able to draw them on the DS. If it were different I would be making lots of patterns.

Didn't the original AC let yo uuse the GBA to make patters on??

Yeah, this pattern making interface is kind of crappy. There are actually a few pattern making tooks online. You can upload an image and it makes it into a dot-by-dot pattern for you to copy. Still might be a lot more work than people want to do just to get an image they like.

It takes a looooong time though. And as TheFleece mentioned, not being able to "draw" in the classical sense makes it more frustrating than anything else. I'd even settle for a mouse attachment  :P

Yes I heard that you could draw patterns on the GBA and move them to the Cube. I prefer to draw on the DS and made a lot of patterns in my Wild World game.
I hope a more modern drawing technique will be applied to the Wii. I wouldn't mind a mouse attatchment. I also looked at the guides to prepare an image and it really seemed like more time than I had and more than I'd be willing to dedicate.
This is also why I hate Blanca and I'm sad that she is back in the game.

I hate how nintendo lets you move your game save from WW to AC but won't let you connect to the DS as they did with the GBA. I barely ever made patters, still dont really, but when i do i'd rather do it via the DS because out of all the times i did make a pattern, on that platform was it the easiest and most comfortable.

Yeah, that really doesn't make much sense, when all you ever read was how Nintendo wanted to create ways for the Wii and DS to "talk" and interact with one another.

Maybe in future versions of AC, they will fine tune this feature. Maybe they could release an update that allows for it now?

That town in the video was freaking unreal! I gotta start making more tiles. I am an artist too...there's no excuse  :P

I know! I mean the guy added A BACKYARD to his house, he has A FREAKING ISLAND, a PATH that leads to the gates, the gates have GIANT NES CONTROLLERS and A FOREST!! Its like God damn he has too much time in his hands!

And yes, making patterns in City Folk is hard as all hell. It takes a lot of patience and work to get a decent looking design.

After hours of laying down patterns and planting trees I finally got a perfect town rating!!

Also, pap I think you sent me a resetti model by accident.  I'll mail it back to you.

Ah crap. I was trying to send it to EasyCure, and his AC name is Mike if I am not mistaken...

And yes, the DS to Wii features is disappointing in AC. They could have brought back Animal Island. Even if it was a third storage space for your stuff I really liked the island. I liked how even in the middle of winter the island was shining bright along with the unique character. It was also great taking the island to your GBA and seeing the villager interact with the stuff you left him or her.

The DS could have done this easily.

Did Maxi and GP have a date last night?  How romantic.   :-*   :-*   :-*   :-*   :-*   :-*
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
