I had the game when I was a kid. But it was a broken hand me down, that could never go past the opening. I always wondered what this game would be like. I've only been playing for 3 hours and I already see its going to be a fantastic ride.

Now that square is in the a real mood for Re-makes of games I hope they will do it to Front mission 3. No idea why they did the first one seeing the story was actually pretty rubbish and the gameplay unrefined.

Anyone think they will try to re-make Chrono Cross and fix it?

Does anyone else rename all the characters to ones of their Friends and so forth? I do. Although I didn't rename uh, the last person to join my party, because that'd be silly since everyone was already saying his anme anyway. Totally co-incidentally I named Frog Glen

I've never renamed a character in my life. I can't even bare to name the characters who don't come with default names. In Secret of Mana I had to scour the Internet until I finally learned the characters' names from the manga.

I'm playing DQ IV right now and I chose to play as a girl because the default name of Sofia is loads better than the hero's name (Solo).

Some times his name is Link, sometimes his name is Alex, once it was even DAAMAN. heh

Yes Sofia is great, but a ph instead of F is so much better!

I got this last night and it is rising on my Top 10 list of games.I played 3 hours. I am enjoying it alot.I am currently in an apocalyptic destroyed world. Hopefully someone can get me out of this world soon.

Well I'm finally out of the creepy world. Everything looks ok in my time.I also found out how that futuristic world got the way it was. Some guy named Lavos did it.
Hmmm I wonder what time I am heading to next.

I'm not sure how to reach him.Right now I have these times to visit.1000 A.D Leene Square,65,000,000 B.C.,2300 A.D.,1000 A.D. Medina Village, and 600 A.D. Truce Canyon. The last thing I did was go to 1000 A.D. Medina Village and went to Heckaran's Cave and beat the boss.
After that I went to 600 AD and there is some Hero I am sepost to find. I can't find the King.After that I went to 65,000,000 B.C.

Ok I found the "Hero".Not much of one.
After that I went back to 65,000,000 B.C. help out a cave girl.I miss her.I got the Masamune fixed.Frog wants me to fight Magnus.
Can I fight Lavos now. I am guessing I have to go to2300 A.D.

You can fight him at any point in the game. I'd encourage you to try it now just for fun, but don't be surprised when you die in the first couple of turns. You're no where near strong enough to defeat him at this point.

You'll get different endings depending on where you are in the story when you beat the final boss. After you beat the game the first time you get a New Game + file so you can restart the game with your experience in tact. Replay to get all the endings.

In a New Game + you'll actually be able to attempt to take on the final boss as early as the Millennium Fair when it's just you and Marle.

Well I beat Magnus and I got timewarped to 65,000,000 B.C. There was a fire in the woods.I guess that has Lavos doing

I read in one of my NP that Magnus can join you at some point.

Ok I went up against Lavos and I made it to the fight after the T-Rex fight.I used Chrono,Marle and Robo in all of the fights.You definately have to plan ahead because it is a gauntlet.I fought Lavos after I got kicked out of12,000 B.C.

Ok I made it back to 12,000 B.C. and I had to sell all of my weapons and armor just to get all of the best weapons and armor. I need some money.Any places that give lots of money?
Edit:I found the perfect place for experence,money, and TP.

OK I beat Giga Gaia. That was who I made it to when I fought Lavos. After that I went to fight Lavos again. I made it past Giga Gaia. I got beat in my first few turns vs Lavos.
I'll beat him soon. Is there a recommended level for the party to be at when fighting Lavos?
