Great TV show, and a great movie. Somewhat predictable, but hilarious and very well acted/directed nonetheless. Steve Carell was without a doubt the perfect guy for the role of Maxwell Smart.

I recently started watching the TV series because my parents and aunt kept praising it when the commercials for the movie came on. I'm only a little ways in but I get why they praised it. Yeah, it's a little predictable, but it manages to be predictable and still have the predictable stuff be funny, which is hard to do.

when we were sitting in Indiana Jones the preview for this movie came up and my dads reactions was "Oh god not that" now he wants to watch it. I think I am going to have to check it out though.

Steve Carell was good... but I was otherwise disappointed in the movie. Maxwell kicked a little too much ass, IMO. I hated all the digital camera work too... it was very overt and distracting when it shifted to the cheaper method of filming, and made the production look cheaper as a whole.
