Why is 999% damage the limit? I want to see how much damage I can do beyond the 999% in my custom made stage which is appropriately called "Combo Galore!".

Edit: I was tired of feeling the rumble and also tired of pressing down on the A button, so I stopped Captain Falcon from doing his infinite combo on Bowser, yet I find another limit in Training mode where each character can only perform 999 combos.

FREAKING EVENT 13 (I think)!

THE STUPID DRAGOON ONE ON HARD!

Dumbest concept ever.  If I drop on Wario 4-5 times while he has a part, he doesn't drop it.  If i get attacked by Wario's weakest punch, I drop my parts.  Dumbest idea for an event match ever.

Does anyone have any tricks for beating this?  I did it fine on Easy and Normal, but now on hard I'm nowhere close.

That's easy, did it in ~40 sec.  NOW #17 on HARD.... WTH... why is Zelda so floaty??  Why does she refuse to land??

Because the situation you describe is the only time anyone would have the opportunity to have 1000+ damage, ever.

Ya but it can still therefore be considered a nitpick.

Maybe this isn't a nitpick but speaking of 999% damage . . .

isn't Lucaio's damage supposed to go UP based on how much damage he has taken on?

I think it's a bunch of BS that when he has 999% damage his charged blast only does 25% damage to an opponent.

Which it be cool if it was just a multiplier because I've had him beyond 200.  I really like his ball to grow huge because it will do damage just holding it.

Pokeballs - They SUCK now. I'm used to always running towards them when they appear but now there's no point, I get the same 3 or 4 pokemon every time and they suck, they disappear heaps quicker now too. Why does Kyogre, the STRONGEST POKEMON EVER, do some ultra lame splash attack? Items don't appear often enough either, set to the highest frequency they are nowhere near as frequent as in Melee. I tried playing pokeball only matches with Brawl but it was horrible. Which retarded RPG dev guy on this trainwreck Brawl dev team was so offended by Pokemon being better than all the RPGs he ever made had to mention to everyone "hey guys I think the pokeballs are a bit too strong" and the rest of the team is even dumber for listening to him.

There's not enough Assist Trophies either, and I always seem to get the same old ones popping up.

Also i'm sure it's been mentioned a million times before but the interface is one of the worst in gaming history. THE POINTER IS THERE LET ME USE IT!

All the "hard" unlockables just seem to give you lame ass stickers or trophies, completely killing any sense of accomplishment you might feel afterwards. I beat Event 41 on hard and got NOTHING. (getting CDs however is awesome, but that's off topic)

The stickers have to be the lamest thing in any game ever. Getting a sticker feels like punishment to me. There must have been one guy on the Brawl team incredibly bored so he came up with this idea so they just assigned him to making stickers throughout it's entire development.

When playing with three CPUs, they always seem to mostly attack me, whether i'm winning or not. Every single time without fail the CPU gets a final smash, it's always aimed at me, it's like the other CPU guys disappear when that happens.

Music frequency selector seems broken to me. I have one song on full that gets played just as much as one that's up one fifth of the way. Can these guys even program?

Pokeballs - They SUCK now.

The Bumper is the new Pokeball.

And I agree: most of the Pokeballs result in a Goldeen or Wobuffet, or some other "Ineptomon".

I agree with this and it totally sucks.  I have no friends, so most of my time is spent fighting the CPU.  Goodbye Free-For-Alls.

21 - 28 get unlocked in SSE when you get ROB to join your team.  I haven't gotten the rest yet (also haven't beaten SSE yet, so maybe that's it).

I rushed through all the event matches on Easy, so you don't have to play them on hard to unlock them all (unless there are more that I haven't unlocked, but my last one claims it's the REAL final one).  You unlock most of them simply by unlocking the characters they use.

Mikintosh is not going to be happy with this.

Because y'know, I actually did turn into an giant enranged monster upon reading that guy's opinions and was yelling "HULK SMASH" and all that, but unfortunately my giant green hands were too big to type properly.

It is a bit of a bummer the Poke Balls themselves aren't more powerful, but the Pokemon themselves aren't really that different from Melee; Bonsly's really powerful, even though Gulpin doesn't move, he's still good for interrupting whoever runs into it, and Metagross is just plain badass. And what's wrong with the Wobbuffets and Goldeens showing up? They're there at the same rate as in Melee, and the game doesn't promise you you'll get great results 100% of the time, that's part of the game.

Agreed with the assist trophies.

I have 3 different assists always pop up: little mac, that....punching guy and the Samurai guy from F-Zero.

In the end the game doesn't feel as jam-packed as the Smash Dojo site made it out to be.

Oh another nit-pick: I never really play Brawl *gasp* but that's more of a personal problem . . . lol.

I get Samurai Goroh a lot, but I get Custom Robo way more than Little Mac...*trying to remember other ones* the guitar lady doesn't show up much, but I'm glad for that because the effect's cooler when she doesn't come up too often. Seriously, you guys are acting like they made these systems non-random, I'm guessing out of spite?

And once you've discovered everything, of course it doesn't seem like as much. When does it ever?

Randomness when you are referring to a running program, is not in fact random; it is pseudo-random because it is based on a seed. It is likely that the seed is unchanging, so the "random" trophies being brought up are not really random. Due to the seed some trophies WILL BE more likely to appear. It definitely is annoying, but you can't really blame anyone for that one.

I really doubt a constant seed would be causing some trophies to appear more often.  Besides the fact that it would be trivial to seed the random function with the current time from some particular date as per convention, unless they used a different random function for selecting trophy contents from every other pseudo-random effect in the game, user input would still throw it off (by instigating those effects at unpredictable intervals and times).

Kyogre I find pretty annoying actually, it kills pretty often in my experiences. Groundon I find is especially useless though, he just sits doing nothing. Touch and he does a bit of damage, I was expecting maybe he would be like Moltres from the last game. In sort a OHKO sort of situation, but no.

I agree about the lack of variety of Pokemon though, I haven't seen half of the Pokemon yet.

Heh, your welcome....

My tips are to use kirby's floatyness to your advantage and swoop in for parts.  The CPU is more concerned with you than dragoon parts, at least that's how they reacted when I played.  They did manage to get one piece, but 3 solid hits later, I got him to cough it up.  If you get hit, since your lighter, you'll drop pieces much easier.  I went after the piece I dropped as a priority.

I'd have saved the reply and sent it to you, but you can't save replays for event matches.
