Denis Dyack vs. Planet GameCube
« on: March 01, 2003, 02:48:16 PM »
We hooked up with Silicon Knights president Denis Dyack after he won his AIAS award, and let the questions fly.  Get the full audio interview right here!

On Friday during D.I.C.E, Senior Staffer Daniel Bloodworth and Director Billy  Berghammer got to sit down with Denis Dyack, the President of Silicon Knights (while policed by our friend, NOA's Tom Harlan -- you'll hear him too),  and talked to him about all things Eternal Darkness, winning an AIAS award, and  what's in store for SK in the future.  The entire interview runs over 30  minutes (33:33 to be exact...coincidence?), so we've broken it up into a few MP3 files while we transcribe  everything. (Note: There are possible Eternal Darkness spoilers in here if you haven't played.)

Special thanks to Denis Dyack for taking the time to answer our  questions.

Don't forget to right click and save these files to your computer.

*You will need some sort of MP3 player like WinAmp to listen to these files.

Just a question: Is this the same interview as the text one a bit further down the news?

If not, could you guys do a transcript of this one, or at least just the important points in it?

Not gonna bother listening to this one... I can't hear jack in it.

Excellent interview; much better than IGN's interview Denis. Listening to him talk about ED made me realize just some of the things i missed, and the insane amount of detail and work put into it.

Parts of the interview should required listening to the poor souls who didn't play ED.

Rick's face kind of reminds me of that kirby cartoon. So maybe you could wear like a kirby mask and give an interview.

"The entire interview runs over 30 minutes (33:33 to be exact...coincidence?)"

Tomorrow is March 3rd 2003 or 3-3-03...Hmmmm

Grrrr. Sometime in the future? GRRRRR! He better pray we don't meet in a dark alley, because then he would have to say no to my buddy, uh, Abraham Lincoln, and his friend, Franklin Delanoe Roosevelt! Could you say no to them? I thought not...

<to the tune of over the rainbow>Some-where in a Las Angelas convention center!

I'm a little bit antsy for real SK news... It was interesting to find out that yellow actually stood for something, though, because I thought that it was just filler for the fact you hadn't chosen a path yet.

You are going to throw pennies and dimes at him? why not get like 7 sacks of them and throw them at him. That way he doesn't cast a yellow spell on you.
