I found a bug in the forums.

Check out the last post in the NWR Discussion board shown in the image below.

As far as I can tell, this thread either doesn't exist or isn't accessible. (It's not in the Recycle Bin either.) Now, by posting this message the Help! post isn't the most currently post in the forum, but I copied the link.

When you click the link it just directs you to the main forum page.

If you view dhowerter's posts there's no record of this post.

This man needs our help and we can't offer any because we don't know what problem he's experienced. I feel like such a failure!

The post doesn't appear in the actual forum--just in the most recent post section of the main page (which I obviously removed when I posted a few minutes ago).

I posted this in the karma thread and am suggesting it:

I really think we should be able to see who gives karma and for what posts. Every message board i've been a member of does that (you get a PM letting you know who gave you praise/karma/whatever and the post for it, along with optional comments). I really don't think I have done anything worth this much negative karma, I think anybody who gives negative karma should at least have the decency to PM the person and say why (it also helps that person know what not to do).

I have to agree though - the few times I've "smite'd" someone isn't typically because of their regular behavior. It's because they've made a snippy comment about someone or such. It'd make more sense if there was a way for individuals to know exactly what post they made that people didn't like.

Imagine that you drive around for the day, then come home a find that a cop has put a ticket in your mailbox that just says "Fine - $75". You don't know why or what you did. The next day, the same thing. How are you supposed to know what it is you're doing if you can't even narrow down what it is you're doing wrong?

I just found a bizarre thread with a bunch of random posts in it on the handheld board. It was supposedly the Pilotwings 3D thread. dhowerter's posts appear here as well.

Is it possible to have an applaud/smite line graph mod that tracks daily changes in peoples scores?

I think it would be interesting just to see the daily fluctuations of the more active posters on the board.

Same here. I rely on that for the majority of my posting actually so not having it available is a bit disorienting.

The Facebook mod writer is the worst speller on the planet. I already told him he misspelled ****, but it didn't get fixed.

I can confirm I use it, although it seems that you can't tell if someone does unless you go to their profile to check.

Sundulos and I are friends on Facebook now because of the feature.

Not that I check my facebook all that often in the first place, but it's pretty cool to have.

Just 2 errors that consistently happen on the forums that I'm gonna point out.

1. when you put a

in your post and then switch to Advanced edit or actually go back to edit a post, it adds a : after it for everytime the editor is opened.
if you go back to edit a few times it could look like

:::

2. I don't know if this is a problem outside of Google's Chrome, but everytime you use the advanced editor to post, it will add an extra space for every space you add during that edit. So if you add 1 space, the editor double spaces it for you and if you double space, the editor will quadruple space it for you causing you to go back and edit.

I don't know if you can do anything about this, but I can't start a new topic or a new PM or use the full post editor in Mobile Safari without switching into the Mobile site because it won't let me click into the text box. I can use the Quick Reply box just fine.
