Is Nintendo Being Modest?

With Nintendo touting it's phenomal sales of the DS, Wii, and software for both systems, where are the VC sales? Where's the comparison to XBL? The VC to Wii tie in ratio? Or even just how many Wii owners go online with their systems?

Did I miss this press release or is Nintendo up to something?

Well, I bought a copy of Monster Lair, so there's the official sales total of that game! The rest? No idea. They probably don't sell enough to bother boasting about, just like XBLA/PSN crap.

Well, I think Nintendo last announced their VC numbers in July? Or was iot September. They were ok, but nothing spectacular. They also announced online Wii percentage about that time... hmmm....

I believe I saw a statistic that said Virtual Console downloads accounted for something like 60% of all downloaded content on the consoles.  Not sure where I saw it.  IGN, a few months ago?

IGN reports that at least as of the end of November last year, in the press conference Nintendo held with NTT, there had been 7.8 million downloads from the Wii VC and about $33 million in sales. Nintendo didn't know if the numbers were good or not, lol.

I seem to remember back around june numbers of 40% of Wiis being connected to the internet, so November's numbers suggest less than 1 VC game per Wii sold (whether or not it's internect connected), or actually 2+ VC games per Wii connected to the internet.

What the hell is up? I really don't get why they wouldn't post their results. Perhaps because they don't know if it's good or bad? I don't see how saying we made an extra $33 million with games we already made lots of money on, could be a bad thing.
