I just can't see how a one-week delay in Japan when the game is already being printed translates to a one-month delay in North America.
Maybe they delayed the Japanese version to make others feel better about their own delays? It doesn't make sense, since every thing we've seen in the dojo is in English, I don't see how the game isn't being translated simultaneously. I honestly want a real explanation from Nintendo PR from this, not just "The game is taking longer than we expected, even though a week ago we said we were done." Are they adding US only content, like the song about Ashley? Did they decide at the last minute to put all the stuff taken out of the Japanese game back in, like the Japanese version of the song about Ashley?
If they need more time for that, or if they need more time to translate things, or to actually work on the game, that's fine. I don't care, the games will be done when it's done. However, I also believe it was delayed because someone at NOA said, "Mario Kart isn't going to be ready by May, we're waiting until November for Wii Fit, so let's space out our games better. Besides, we'll have more Wiis out there by then, anyways." And with about ten million Wiis around NA right now, that's just unnecessary, I think.
