MY DAD IS BETTER AT GAMES THAN YOUR DAD

Also yeah, this game is pretty fun.  Single player is aight, not my favorite.  Multi is very fun, I'm just terrible at it :thumbsup;

So did they ever plan to port this to the Wii? I know Wii had COD3, but not 4 yet the DS had 4, what happened?

CoD 4 isn't coming to the Wii, but it has been confirmed that the next CoD will come to the Wii.

CoD4 chokes on my 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo/Geforce 8600. Porting it to Wii would be hilarious.

8600 is actually a pretty terrible video card (sorry), which is why I haven't bought one for my HTPC. I played COD4 demo on it (X2 4200+/GeForce 7600GS - it's a small (Dell) BTX HTPC, not for gaming to say the least), and with somewhat low-medium settings, it actually ran pretty well.

Modern Bump!

Tried this on the PC finally. Very Call of Duty, a well polished "scripted shooter." Weapons are better than the WWII games.

I'm not a Call of Duty fan in the least.  I could care less about WW2 first-person shooters.  CoD4 is the only game I own in the franchise, and I only bought it after it got rave reviews.  And let me tell you, it is amazing.

I also don't care about CoD5.  So you can call it "Call of Texture Packs" all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that CoD4 is one of the best games of this generation.  Maybe if you tried it you just might like it.

I've tried it. It really isn't a whole lot different from the previous 3 except it is set in modern times.

Yeah, the gameplay isn't radically different from the other COD games. Haven't played the multiplayer, so maybe that's the bomb-diggity.
