NWR Gamers Gaming Wishlist
« on: October 21, 2007, 04:58:28 PM »
There have been many games over the years that us Nintendo fans have been deprived of. There have been games that came out on other systems that would have been a perfect match for a Nintendo console, Games that have been rumored to be in development but then never came to fruition, Games that were announced but then later quietly or publicly canceled, games that were announced as one thing and then later changed to something else by the time it was to be released, and maybe a sequel to a deserving game that for one reason or another just never got greenlit.

So my purpose of this thread, is to know what games out there(real, rumored and unreleased) are all of wishing would see the light of day on the Wii (and/or DS)?

I'll kick it off with the often rumored and much deserved Beyond Good & Evil II
the perfect match for the Wiimote, Half Life II and Portal
and an improved port of Psychonauts minus the load times.

BlackNMild stole all my answers. I guess in addition, I would still like to see:

Zoonami's game
Sadness
Bob Ross painting game.

VC games? sure why not.

But let me also add the sure to be phenomenal hit Mushroom Kingdom Hearts handled by whoever SquarEnix deems worthy of the task as long as its handled internally and with one of the "A" teams.

VC Games too? okay

Gameboy games on the VC.

Also a Wii based MMO. plus, the SD card and USB hard drive support this would require.

GB, GBC & GBA games on the DS Download channel might be a better fit.

Portal would suck sh!t on the Wii. You wouldn't be able to respond fast enough with the Wiimote to effectively do any of the momentum puzzles, also the Wii would barely be able to chug through processing the areas by themselves, never mind the portal tubes.

It's funny how Sega has so many IPs that seem like such great possibilities... until you think of Sega developing them...

I still want to see a Wii
Jet Grind Radio
Space Channel 5

And I also think the Wii should get every single lightgun-game in existence, INCLUDING SuperScope games... wait a second, that means I want...

Panzer Dragoon Saga. More people need to experience this game, including myself... and I'm too cheap to shell out upwards of $175 on Ebay to get it on Saturn.

Unfortunately.  I blame Sammy. Before the merger, Sega consistently made great games. After the merger, a lot of thier best designers left and the Sega name was sullied because they used it to sell garbage to fans who'd buy anything.

I believe Sega was churning out the crap before the merger too.
But they were also putting all the right games on the wrong systems too.
Being bought out was a combination of those two things, the way I see it

And to stay on topic...
I think a new PacMan Vs with Wii to DS connectivity would also be a good idea

Games that were actually in development at some point!

- That flying.. Wii.. plane game thing! The one that made me leak all sorts of fluids and type "PILOTWINGS?!" in MSN when it was first shown.
- Earthworm Jim (this was planned for PSP but sssh ssh just chuck it on Wii.)
- A Boy and His Blob. One of the first games shown for DS, it looked really terrible. I'd like to see it get released just for the comedy.
- REV LIMIT

"But let me also add the sure to be phenomenal hit Mushroom Kingdom Hearts handled by whoever SquarEnix deems worthy of the task as long as its handled internally and with one of the "A" teams. "

That'd be rad...Also:

Yoshi's Island (done in the same coloring book style the original was in)
Star Fox (handled by EAD, almost-completely Arwing-based with an ON-RAILS Landmaster stage or two)
Four Swords Adventures Wii (playable with DS or just with Wiimote/Nunchuk)
Sin & Punishment 2 (Bring back Saki and Airan!)
Kid Icarus (Make it a free-flying action game)
RE2make (RE4-style)

and finally..GOLDEN ****ING SUN, Camelot you JERKS! ;_;

I've probably said it only a couple of hundred times, but I'll say it again. Thief Wii would likely be the best game ever, Eidos, Ion Strom, whatever, get to work!

As for my Wishlist

A realistic racing game. Anything. Driving is SO COOL with the Wii controllers, but third parties are too busy spending 6 months modelling cars on PS3.

Red Faction Wii would be absolutely incredible

Co-op online StarFox w/ headset.  Either an online adventure mode (on rails) or open maps, whatever, I don't care. Just make it happen.

And bring WWF No Mercy to the VC.

Well, what we can expect to be announced from now to the end of E3 08 is (not including original IPs):

Almost certain

- Animal Crossing Wii (100% guaranteed)
- Star Fox Wii (hopefully developed inhouse - amazing possibilities for remote)
- F-Zero Wii (come on, Amusement Vision! F-Zero GX is quite possibly my favourite Cube game)

Good chance

- Nintendogs Wii (no brainer)
- Kirby Wii (from Cube, needs HAL after they're done SSBB)
- Brain Age Wii (again, no brainer)

Possible

- Pikmin Wii (please Monsieur Miyamoto)
- Wave Race / 1080 Snowboarding (NST has to do something, right?)
- Donkey Kong Wii (Perhaps Tokyo EAD after Galaxy's done?)

Improbable

- Pilot Wings (never happening)

You might be able to cross that on off of the wishlist soon, but not soon enough.

From the latest issue of Nintendo Power:

Sin and Punishment Wii sequel not out of the question
October 23rd, 2007

Coming from the latest issue of Nintendo Power…

NP: When we spoke a couple of years ago, you mentioned that you would like to do a sequel to Sin and Punishment. Has the team given any more thought to that? And don’t you think it would be a perfect fit for Wii?

Masato Maegawa, Treasure: When we were originally working on Sin and Punishment [for Virtual Console], there was some discussion utilizing Wii-like controls, and I think now that we’re working more with the Wii, it is something we’d very much like to try.

I hope they release Smash Bros., lol!

Seriously though, I'd like to see Nintendo steal the XBOX360's accomplishment tracking feature. That would sure get me playing my Wii.
