Now this can be awesome, according to the story in the article, Grasshopper won't jump in until they complete No More Heroes. I guess Tecmo is really having a change of heart for Nintendo systems with the steady support they are offering.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

20 bucks says that Golden will come in here and read that the game is being developed by Grasshopper and say it will suck  and will feature a crappy art style that fanboys will declare to be fantastic and continue flaming anyone that even has a remotely good thought about it...

This is excellent news.  I enjoyed the three games a lot.  And another plus Tsukiko Amano has another job.

Can someone give a sort-of synopsis for this game? I understand the fact that you roll around with a camera "sealing" ghosts in pictures, but how does it play? Is it more exploratory or is it FPS with a camera?

It's definetely more exploratory.  Your ghost encounters are much more sparse.  All 3 rely pretty heavily on japanese mythology.  You can't run very quickly in the game which is annoying but not suprising.  The first games setting is in a mansion.  The second is in a village (very loosely based on a real village) the third had you enter a kind of dream world, don't think Freddy just don't.  The game has a mix of shock value but for the most part it's the atmosphere that gives you the most scares.  Since ghosts don't pop out every minute it's suprising to raise the camera and have one right in front of you.

I played one of the Fatal Frames (I think it was one) and found it to be pretty good. So I take it this will be a new iteration and not a remake or port plus?

I'm happy it's on the Wii and a little worried at the same time. Grasshopper can definitly add a new kick to the game but I'm still wary.

However, I'm happy it's on a system that I own and I won't have to shell out 400 more dollars to play it. Cause Fatal frame for me is one of my favourite video game titles ever.

I was expecting it to become a 360 title though and I'm worried about what the graphics on the Wii will look like. If it still looks like PS2 then that's great... I'm hoping Tecmo and Grasshopper can get the best out of the Wii without some cel graphics or something that would take away from the atmosphere the game creates.

I still wanna see what it'd look like on a PS3 though... Maybe in the future... And maybe when I have alot of cash.

To add to Sessha's description, the game's much scarier than others because the enemies aren't material. A zombie can only move so much and rips apart when you shoot it but in FF the enemies are ghosts that often turn invisible and reappear somewhere completely different so when one disappears you'll frantically search the area around you hoping you'll spot it before it reaches you (which does quite some damage). Also they're often invisible at first so you'll only know a ghost is there because your "sixth sense" indicator pops up. Even nastier, the indicator cannot tell between friend or foe so you'll sometimes have it pop up on a harmless apparition. Also adds to the fun when a ghost spawns in an area you had cleared before.

I'm not sure if accurate aim will help this, faster response means you're less vulnerable and less vulnerability means enemies are less dangerous. But Killer7 had similar enemies so Grasshopper should beable to handle this.
