I know I am derailing the thread in a big way but I've been playing Bioshock in the last few days and remembered Geist.
The reason I bring it up is because the creators of Bioshock have been tooting their own horn about what a creative, innovative and fantastic game they have created, yet the creators of N-space have been quiet and humble yet they truly created something special.
I mean, Bioshock is good and all but its pretty straightforward in execution despite how they hyped how you can control the environments and make choices. In Geist there were some pretty clever and extremely satisfying puzzles, stuff I hadn't seen before in a FPS. The scenarios SB mentioned are so enjoyable because its something you never expect yet do it anyway. I was smiling like an idiot when I possessed a TV and scared the crap out of small rats and them possessed one of them so I could enter a part of the level.
Its stuff like that which leads me to believe that Geist was a flawed but wonderful and humble labor of love. I see Bioshock (and many other FPS games) and think its very pretentious and arrogant.
Sorry for derailing the thread but Geist has so many wonderful moments that its a shame Nintendo did a piss poor job with it...
