I'm sad that Little Mac isn't a playable character.  That would have been awesome to go at it with Mac and punch the crap out of everyone -- his Up+B special would be his super uppercut.. it makes too much sense!

Oh well.

Indeed! Even if they were obvious choices the fact that Sakurai is considering characters from the most requested poll is great, which bodes well for Isaac, Ouendan, Geno and Capt. Olimar.

I'm really hoping for Captain Olimar playable. I doubt he would have the potential to be a very competitive character but he would be a great one anyway. Ouendan as stated would be nice. I'm really hoping to see some sort of Chibi Robo representation, not sure what it could be, but anything would be nice.

I think Geno is a shoe in.

It's amazing to think that Ouendan has a decent chance of being playable, since Lucas tied them for votes...

I still expect them as an AT, though.

Before, I would worry about who's going to be in the game, but now I could care less. Don't get me wrong, though, I still want to see some characters being playable but no matter what happens it looks like Brawl will have an amazing character roster anyway. I think that the longer, extended development time has helped the team created a varied, unique, fun roster. The only thing I want is no more clones. Maybe one or two but that's it!

If they use clones once again to expand the roster I'll be EXTREMELY pissed off...

Oh and Mr. Jack I expect Chibi-Robo being an AT. Like Ouendan Chibi is a character built around the concept of helping others. I see Chibi appearing and either helping you or attacking the other Brawlers. And he gets happy points at the end!

Brawl already has more individual newcomers than Melee did so I wouldn't mind seeing "clones" again. I don't want to get too far off topic so I think I'll just start topic about clone characters.

Time to check Capt. Olimar off the Most request character list!

I wonder if all characters will be included...

This might be a silly and stupid theory, but I was looking at the icons at the site and the DS icon is there supposedly representing Pictochat. I then began to think...

"Since Kawashima is on the list could he be the character that represents the DS universe?"

Think about it. Brain age is a VERY popular franchise in Japan and around the world. Sakurai might be just crazy enough to ask Kawashima himself if he could borrow his game likeness and turn it into a character.

Stupid, I know, but if Sakurai is following the list closely we might see Kawashima after all! O.O

I don't see how they could unless they took the easy way out and made clones of everyone. Though I could (Hopefully) be wrong.

I expect at least the top ten or five characters becoming Brawlers.

While I do agree that not ALL the characters in the list will make it you have to remember, not only is this Sakurai's "last" SSB game the team is going all out with the game's modes and features, so they could make all those characters playable without taking the easy way out.

Can anyone explain to me the context of the entries in "Sakurai's List"? Is those just characters which he mentioned in passing? I'm most curious about how Ippongi Ryuta from Ouendan and Link's Uncle were mentioned. Also, a couple of new trophies and assist trophies have been confirmed since the last time the list was updated (including Ouendan yay).

I wouldn't count trophies since we don't know if they are playable, ATs or just collectibles.

Also, do you have a thing against Ouendan?

He's happy that Ouendan is even in the game...

And I'll be highlighting anything that is on the list except stickers...If any trophies end up becoming ATs, I'll just edit it again!

No, I love Ouendan. And EBA. And EBA vs. Ouendan. I'd actually rather have playable Agents than Ouendan (dance moves would make awesome attack moves), but in any case I'm just happy to see the franchise acknowledged as part of Nintendo's canon.

I frankly won't be happy with just a trophy.

Anything less than an AT and I'll be seriously pissed.

Ah I see. My bad, then.

I agree, though. Even if they aren't playable or at the very least ATs its great that Sakurai acknowledge Ouendan.

EDIT: S_B, it looks as if every single trophy in Brawl will also be an AT, so Ouendan will likely also be an AT.
