KK Rider! That's awesome. I hope they have more Animal Crossing music.

Then there’s this arrangement. As I sit and enjoy this song, it reminds me of one phrase in particular...

"Heroes always arrive late."

This reeks of K.K. being playable, it really does...(Plus it's a rad song to boot! *plays over and over*)

And I'm so glad Yoshi's Final Smash is a throw-back to Super Mario World...

WOW two updates in one day!?!!?

Pure awesome. Oh and guess who was right again? Take that GP! =D

Edit: Yoshi's final smash is pretty cool and I too am happy it isn't egg related.

The music is . . . really catchy. I know some people don't like how the music isn't orchestrated and high tech super awesome midi quality but I personally LOVE the direction some of the songs are going in. It feels like a real kick back to the days of old and after going back and playing Melee again lately I saw myself not as impressed with the more orchestrated tracks from that game. As weird as it sounds, I think the catchy, upbeat midi tunes from this game will have more longevity in the years down the road but only time will tell . . .

It be more likely that this plays on Saturday evenings IMO given the info on the smashville stage page.  Either that or he is playable and you have to play on a late saturday evening to unlock him for use at any time.

Wow Google is quick to parse the official site:

"Tomorrow is the creator of Snake's birthday.
In the opening trailer, Snake came after the trailer supposidly ended.
Now Sakurai throws in this very random statement about how "Heroes always arrive late".
Notice how we haven't had that many screenshots of Snake recently.....
If Sakurai put Tokata's song up on his birthday today, I have a feeling that Sakurai will honor Kojima's birthday tomorrow. The phrase could also mean that it may come LATE. Booooo."  - SHROOBFUL (Nintendo Forums)

A nice two updates...nothing too much to talk about.  Though I agree I wish Yoshi had retained all this powers from the multi-colored Shells.  I like the Wings, and fireballs, but the yellow clouds upon stomping would be cool.  But then it sounds like his moves are limited and you can fly by just pushing the analog stick around...if that is the case Yoshi is just free to wreck massive havok.

As for the music update it is a nice tune.  It is upbeat enough to be a fight song, but it is still 100% Animal Crossing...I love the singing at the end of the song, it is very cute.

I wonder if this means tommorrows update will be a relatively small reveal, since he gave us two updates today, or if he was prepping us for a big reveal tomorrow?

So since it'll be Kojima's birthday, are we thinking MGS music, Snakes special moves, or his Final Smash?

Louieturkey:  If if is Snake related it will be probably Snakes Intro and either Special moves or Final Smash...but not both.

nice update. I agree, stomping would be cool too. Would be awesome if he had a blown up face like he has a shell in his mouth too...

He'll be an unlockable character, so I don't think anything based on his profile will be revealed...So if there's anything MGS-related, it'll be music or the Shadow Moses stage...And considering we HAVEN'T GOTTEN A STAGE UPDATE IN SO LONG........

You only say that because it is the section that has gone the longest without an update.  We had a new stage this month.

Though I would like to see another one soon.

I love Yoshi's update! I remember when I was in kendagarden(sp?) I use to pretend I was a yoshi with a multi color shell in my mouth, but I could swallow it and still have all my powers.

When Super Mario World 2 came out,  the koopas and other enemies had these huge wings compared to SMW's, and I always wished that Yoshi could gain those wings some how. So you could imagine I was alittle dissapointed with the helecopter.

But now... now I have my giant winged yoshi that I always dreamed of!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it so much!

EASYCURE: I remember thinking(don't ask me why) this was a blond haired, blue eyed, chiseled athlete. Like he looked like Seigfried before he became Nightmare.

Yeah, not saying that this is the case, but the Smashville update appeared to slip a possible method of character unlocking...But yeah, I guess we'll see... =)

Well, of note, I think this might mean that Birdo is in the game.  They didn't go for the giant egg Final Smash people thought there would be.  In fact, they didn't use eggs at all.  With an increased aspect of villainy, it might be possible that nearly every Nintendo character will have a villain in the roster, and Birdo could be one of them, perhaps the one for Yoshi.  On top of that, Birdo's FS would be the one that involves eggs.  I'd hope for extremely rapid-fire egg shooting.

I thought most of us expected the Stampede from the Melee intro? =)  Personally I think they just wanted some variety, and considering Yoshi already has TWO egg attacks, having a third would be over-kill...

I don't think Birdo has ever been a villain in a Yoshi game.

No, it hasn't but it could still be a counter-character.  Birdo or Kamek, IMO.

Yeah, in fact they were Doubles partners in the Tennis titles. Kamek or Baby Bowser (please god, no!) are the first characters who come to mind when I think of the villains of the Yoshi titles.

Hey, don't forget Mario Kart: Double Dash!  And considering Diddy is like a smaller, faster Donkey Kong, it just makes too much sense to have Bowser Jr. be a smaller, faster Bowser...Sorry... ='D

I haaaaaaaaate Bowser Jr.

And I don't think Diddy Kong's moveset is likely to resemble DK's moveset in any meaningful way.

Bowser Jr will most likely be included, with his paintbrush
