I just think justifying the name as being anything but a poor choice for the item is sort of a stretch. I wander what the Japanese Name is.

Altavista translates

? as: "The ? which is team recovery." Clearly not a flawless translation, but the word "team" is right there. I'm having trouble understanding what your problem with the name is. It's an item used for healing a teammate, ergo, a team healer. Sure it's not the most unambiguous name, as "team healer" could also be interpreted as something that heals the whole team, but calling it a "poor choice" is sort of a stretch. My guess is that the main reason it's called a "team healer" is that it'll only show up at all during team battles.

I would agree that "poor choice" is a stretch if it only healed your team but, by virtue of being able to heal anyone it becomes a throwable healling item that is no longer team specific. I guess in the end Personally prefer them use another games item that does the same thing so they could still its name and likeness or them naming something like "Other Heal" but that is not pleasing sounding.

Overall, even without a character reveal it was a solid week of updates.

I'm beginning to think more and more the game will be delayed, there is still too much to be shown as it is without there being filler movies.

So wait, you are saying that the game will be delayed because Sakurai is not done talking about it on his blog?

I honestly doubt the game will be delayed a second time. It is Nintendo's post Holiday killer app. They could afford to delay it the first time because it had Galaxy, Wii Fit and many solid third party games. If they delay it again they will have nothing for winter and spring.

In all honesty, as long as its for working further on the game I am fine with it but I just don't see Nintendo delaying the game again.

I would think if he did stuff like special moves and move sets alone it could take us close to the supposed launch unless it is delayed, which could explain why he is putting up "filler" videos instead of something important.

Uuuuhhh...I'm sorry, but I'm not buying that logic.

I'm betting anything that the reason Sakurai is focusing on filler updates is because he is waiting for the game's launch in order to drop megaton bombs like it was WW III. That or simply put he just wants to keep everything a secret for surprise's sake.

Not saying that a delay isn't possible, but considering the game is nearly done and there's nothing in Winter and Spring I doubt they would delay it yet again.

I reckon they will delay it because we still have a nice vague "2008" and it wouldn't be nice if we couldn't share that with you.

And we have Zack & Wiki, BWii and Medal of Honour in January and February.

The thing everyone has to remember is the website is still going to be updated long AFTER the game is out. Melee's site which was run similar to Brawls was still being updated by Sakurai, months after Melee was released in Japan. The other thing to remember is Sakurai has done double and sometime even triple updates. I'd imagine when we closer to the Japan launch we'll be seeing a lot more double updates every week. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the week of the Japanese launch every single day is a double update.

And in terms of a Megaton, I'd imagine we might get one this Monday or Tuesday. The fact that Christmas is celebrated in every country that's represented on Brawls website, makes it likely that he'll reveal something big as a Christmas present to the world. Plus next week marks the one month period before the Japanese release which makes something big likely as well.

Unlike America, in Japan Nintendo usually start hyping there games up at the one month period and every week they reveal more and more. Which means we will start seeing the rest of the starting lineup soon since Nintendo's commercials in Japan usually start around the 2-3 week time period before launch. And since the biggest selling point to a game like Smash Bros is it's playable characters, they will show all the starters in the commercials since that's what's going to create the most hype.

Here's what Melee's Japanese commercials were like. Chances are Brawls will be similar which means all starters should be shown in them as well.

I think it'll be delayed for two reasons:

1. Nintendo lacks "that" Xmas app for 2008.

2. What's the hurry? Wiis still aren't staying in stock and by the end of 2008, there will probably be another 7-10 million Wii owners who might buy SSBB at launch.

3rd parties have plenty of room to pick up the slack, so why should Nintendo worry? They delayed TP until the Wii's launch because they wanted that killer app for Wii. I don't see why they wouldn't delay SSBB for the killer app of Xmas 2008.

If they delay the game, I see them delaying it till late spring/early summer. They could delay it even further but again, unless they are adding something big to it (or online is being a bitch to balance) I doubt they would delay it for long.
